The AIIMS MBBS result 2020 will be released on June 16, in the form of pdf containing the merit lists. The conducting body will issue two merit lists- Roll Number wise and Rank wise. The inclusion in the merit list signifies that the candidates have qualified the exam and will be issued a percentile scorecard to participate in the AIIMS MBBS 2020 counselling process in due time. The mode of the release of AIIMS MBBS 2020 merit list will be online only i.e. it will be available on the official website of AIIMS MBBS entrance exam 2020. The result of all the candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam will be announced by the regulatory body which can be accessed by logging through the candidates’ portal.

The cutoff score to qualify AIIMS MBBS 2020 entrance exam is 50% for the unreserved category candidates while candidates belonging to OBC category must score at least 45% and SC/ST candidates should score a minimum of 40% to be considered qualified. The PwD candidates, this year have been granted a 5% relaxation in respective categories.

Last year, the cutoff percentile score for the general category has been declared as 98.1246748. For candidates belonging to OBC and unreserved PwD category, the cutoff percentile is 95.2939507. The cutoff for OBC PwD category and SC/ST category is 90.2036135. The cutoff for SC/ST PWD is 82.2825521.

Candidates must note that as the exam is conducted for 200 marks then a candidate scoring 100 marks and belongs to the general category will not be considered eligible. Scoring 100 marks in AIIMS MBBS entrance exam 2020 is actually the raw score and it will be normalised using different normalisation procedure since AIIMS MBBS is conducted in multiple shifts. It is unlikely that each shift will have the same number of candidates and the questions in all the shifts won’t be similar therefore these factors will be taken into consideration and a final cut off based on the percentile will be released. The cut off percentile will decide the qualifying status of the candidates.

Is is true that there will be no more AIIMS and JIPMER examination next year 2020 and that they are merged together into one common exam?

Aditya kumar Student Expert 20th Nov, 2019
Hello there!

Greetings!

Yes it's absolutely true , both aiims and Jipmer have been scrapped off and now included in neet as announced by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Ministry of Health and Welfare and now admissions to both aiims and jipmer will be conducted through your performance in neet and thus now neet is the single entrance exam i.e.only gateway to get into medical colleges for admission to MBBS , BDS and Ayush courses i.e. BHMS, BAMS , B.V.Sc & AH etc. So , you need to prepare well for neet. To get more information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below :-

my age is 03 Nov 2003 then I am able for aiims or not

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 19th Nov, 2019
Shivani, now AIIMS will not conduct its entrance exam. It will consider NEET score. You need to be 17 years by December 31st of the year of admission for AIIMS. So if you are born on 3rd November 2003, you will turn 17 years by November and so you are eligible for AIIMS admissions as well.

NEET 2020 ELIGIBILITY:

  • No upper age limit as of now. The Candidate should be at least 17 years by December 31st of 2020

how much should i want to score in class 12 2020 to get merit seat in aiims and i belongs to obc from tamilnadu

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 19th Nov, 2019

There are 2 things to it.

  1. Your 12th marks have no bearing in securing you a MBBS seat.

Your 12th score is useful only for you to be eligible for appearing for NEET. As a Candidate belonging to OBC Category, you should score a minimum aggregate of 40% in Physcis, Chemistry and Biology. Your 12th marks role ends there.

  1. There is no concept of merit seat in AIIMS

Now AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS have been scrapped in favour of NEET. Now NEET will remain the sole entrance examination for admission to MBBS colleges across India. Adding on that, AIIMS releases its score in the form of percentiles and NEET releases the score in the form of marks. In 2019, the cut off for OBC for AIIMS was 95.29 percentile. It is approximately 684. And cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exams, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So if you want to get into AIIMS, your target should be nothing less than 700.
