About AIIMS PG 2019

AIIMS PG 2019 is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The examination of AIIMS PG 2019 is conducted for January and July sessions in the month of November and May. AIIMS PG exam for July session was conducted on May 5, 2019, in computer based mode excluding the exam centre in Bhubaneswar. The exam was rescheduled due to Cyclone 'Fani' and the revised dates will be announced later. Due to the severe affect of Cyclone 'Fani', AIIMS, New Delhi has postponed the AIIMS PG result 2019 July session until the completion of exam in Bhuabneswar centre. The rescheduled dates of AIIMS PG result and counselling will be announced thereafter.

AIIMS PG is a post-graduate entrance examination conducted at the national level for admission to postgraduate courses like Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and MCh courses. AIIMS PG 2019 will offer admission to the disciplines of Clinical Sciences and Basic Clinical Sciences.

AIIMS PG 2019 Eligibility Criteria

AIIMS PG MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to fulfil the following AIIMS PG 2019 eligibility criteria in order to be eligible for the exam.

  • Candidates are required to possess an MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India recognized institution.
  • All candidates are required to complete the rotatory internship period of one year on or before the assigned date as a fulfilment of AIIMS PG eligibility criteria 2019. 
  • Medical graduates belonging to the General and OBC categories (including PwD General) are required to obtain an aggregate of 55% in the MBBS exam while those belonging to SC/ST category (including PwD SC/ST) must obtain 50% in aggregate.

AIIMS PG MDS Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to fulfil the following AIIMS MDS 2019 eligibility criteria in order to be eligible for the exam.

  • Candidates are required to possess a BDS degree from a Dental Council of India recognized institution.
  • All candidates are required to complete the rotatory internship period of one year on or before the assigned date as a fulfilment of AIIMS MDS eligibility criteria 2019. 
  • Medical graduates belonging to the General and OBC categories (including PwD General) are required to obtain an aggregate of 55% in the MBBS exam while those belonging to SC/ST category (including PwD SC/ST) must obtain 50% in aggregate.

The AIIMS PG admit card 2019 is now available for those candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria and have successfully submitted the application form. The AIIMS PG 2019 admit card is issued in a downloadable PDF format. The admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 includes details about the candidate such as name, roll number, date of birth, photograph, signature, and thumb impression and also details about the candidate's exam centre and timing. All candidates were required to mandatorily download by using their Registration ID and Registration Unique Code and carry the AIIMS PG 2019 admit card to the examination hall in order to be able to appear in the entrance test.

The AIMS PG result 2019 has been postponed by AIIMS, New Delhi due to Cyclone 'Fani' and will be announced only after conducting the exam in Bhubaneswar. The revised result date along with counselling schedule will be announced thereafter. The AIIMS PG 2019 result will be released in the form of rank-wise merit lists. Only the candidates who score meet the cutoff requirement of AIIMS PG ie, 50th percentile or above (for all categories) and are eligible for the counselling process are included in the merit list. The mode of release of AIMS PG 2019 result is online and can be accessed by using the login credentials. Candidates who have been included in the lists of AIIMS PG result 2019 will also receive individual scorecards. 

The cutoff of AIIMS PG 2019 is the minimum marks to be secured by each candidate in order to be rendered as qualified in the postgraduate entrance examination. The AIIMS PG 2019 cutoff as decided by AIIMS, New Delhi is 50th percentile for candidates from all categories. Percentile does not exactly specify marks but indicate a candidate's performance relative to others who appear in the examination. The conducting body will also release the AIIMS PG cutoff 2019 which will indicate the minimum percentile required to be considered eligible for counselling.

Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline

AIIMS PG counselling 2019 is conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. AIIMS PG 2019 counselling will start with the mock round, which help candidates in estimating the seat they are likely to get in the counselling process. The AIIMS PG counselling will be conducted in four rounds - first, second, third and open. Also, a spot round is held for seats left vacant. The mode of counselling for AIIMS PG 2019 for the first, second, and third round will be online while the counselling for the open round will be held offline at AIIMS, New Delhi. All the candidates who will secure the cutoff requirement are eligible for AIIMS PG 2019 counselling. Candidates need to register online to participate in the counselling of AIIMS PG 2019 and exercise their subject and AIIMS campus preference. The process of AIIMS PG counselling 2019 will be entirely based on the candidates' merit ranks in the rank lists of AIIMS PG 2019 result. The seat allotment through AIIMS PG 2019 counselling will depend on factors like seat reservation for various categories and preference for AIIMS MBBS graduates.
