About INI SS 2023
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) will conduct the Institute of National Importance Super-Specialty Entrance Test (INI-SS) for the July session on April 29, 2023. The exam is held twice a year for the January and July session in online (CBT) mode for admission to 365 DM, 231 M.Ch. 29 MD (Hospital Administration) seats.
As per the latest update, the authority opened the open round INI SS counselling 2023 choice filling window from August 11 to 17. INI SS counselling 2023 open round seat allotment result will be declared on August 24.
Earlier, the authority has declared the INI SS July 2023 counselling round 3 seat allotment result at aiimsexam.ac.in. Candidates who have been granted seats will have to report at the allotted institutes on or before July 31, 2023.
The authority released the online institute allocation schedule for INI SS July 2023 session. Qualified candidates can participate in the online INI SS counselling July 2023 session by applying at aiimsexams.ac.in. The authority declared the INI SS July session 2023 result on May 5. Candidates can download the roll number wise list of provisionally qualified candidates for INI SS stage I test of July session at aiimsexams.ac.in. Qualified candidates had to appear in the departmental assessment.
The authority released the INI SS 2023 admit card. Candidates who had submitted the online INI SS application form 2023 were required to check the status of application accepted or rejected at aiimsexams.ac.in. Candidates had to sort the rejected application form by completing it and submit within the stipulated dates. INI SS 2023 application form was released on March 23. Candidates were able to register and fill out the application form till April 6, 2023 (5 PM). After filling the application form, candidates had to pay the INI SS 2023 application fee and submit the application form.
The final INI SS result 2023 was declared at aiimsexams.ac.in. The seat allotment will be done in an online mode based on the common merit list (CML) and AIIMS merit list (AML). A similar procedure of seat allocation will be applied to qualified Sponsored/OCI/Foreign National category candidates limited to seats declared & applied under Sponsored/OCI/Foreign National category.
Through the INI-SS entrance exam, admission is granted to DM/M.Ch./MD Hospital Administration Courses at Institutes of National Importance (INI), AIIMS New Delhi including all new AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST) Thiruvananthapuram.

INI SS 2023 eligibility criteria for DM/M.Ch
To get admission to DM/M.Ch. seats through the common entrance test, candidates must meet the INI SS eligibility criteria 2023 as laid down by the authority.
Candidates must have completed the requisite qualification, degree and tenure by January 31, 2023.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the educational qualification mentioned in the information brochure.
Age relaxation: The age relaxation offered by the authority varies for different categories which can be referred from the table below.

Eligibility criteria MD (Hospital Administration)
Candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent degree.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in government hospitals or five years of experience in general practice.
Candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS/Sponsored category must have obtained 55% in aggregate in MBBS whereas those belonging to SC/ST must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidates must be registered with the Central /State Medical Registration Council.
Candidates who have graduated from foreign universities must fill in their FMGE exam marks in the application form.

The steps to fill INI SS application form 2023 are as follows:
Registration: Go to aiimsexam.ac.in and register for INI SS 2023 January session by entering the details asked in the portal.
Filling the application form: After registration, candidates will be redirected to the application form. Enter the personal details, educational qualification, contact details, and FMGE screening marks (if applicable).
Uploading of documents: In the third step, upload the documents as specified in the brochure.
Paying INI SS 2023 application fee: Pay the registration fee through Debit card/ Credit card/ Net banking. The INI SS 2023 application form fee is given in the table below.

INI SS 2023 Exam Pattern
The INI SS 2023 exam will be conducted in online (CBT) mode in two stages. The stage I will comprise of 80 questions that needs to be answered in 90 minutes. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark and for every incorrect answer, one-third mark will be deducted. Stage II will be conducted for those candidates who apply for AIIMS and will be of 20 marks only.

Stage II: Applicable to all AIIMS only
Candidates must secure 50% marks or more in stage I.
Candidates must have registered online for AIIMS seats in respective specialty/course.
Candidates fulfilling the AIIMS eligibility criteria will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab-based assessment related to subspecialty/systems/component of the specialty/course for which the candidate has applied.
Candidates must obtain 50% marks or more in stage I and stage II combined to qualify for AIIMS seat allocation.
INI SS 2023 Admit Card
After the completion of the application form, the authority will release the INI SS admit card 2023. Candidates will be able to download the same from the official website. In the admit card of INI SS details regarding exam date & time, exam centre, reporting time, candidate’s name, important guidelines and other information will be provided.
Candidates must carry the INI SS 2023 admit card to the examination centre along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/PAN card/Driving licence/Voter ID card).

INI SS 2023 Result
AIIMS Delhi has declared the INI SS 2023 result for all INI’s and a separate result of stage I for AIIMS applicants. Candidates who are included in the AIIMS merit list will be called for the departmental assessment. The authority will announce the final result after the departmental assessment. Candidates will be able to check the INI SS result 2023 at aiimsexams.ac.in.
INI SS 2023 merit list
Based on the performance in stage I and stage II, the authority publishes two merit lists namely, the common merit list and the AIIMS merit list. The factors considered in preparing the merit lists are described below.
Common merit list (CML)
Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the stage I test.
Qualified candidates will be assigned a rank and placed in the merit list in order of overall rank.
The merit list will be utilised to grant admission to INI seats except for AIIMS.
AIIMS merit list (AML)
Candidates must have appeared and qualified for stage I and stage II tests.
Merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared considering the marks obtained in stage I and stage II combined.
Qualified candidates will be assigned a rank and placed in the list in order of overall rank.
INI SS 2023: Tie-breaking criteria
If two or more candidates obtain the same marks in the common entrance test, candidates older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.
INI SS 2023 Counselling
INI SS 2023 counselling will be conducted by AIIMS in online mode. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. To participate in the counselling, candidates will have to register online and fill in choices for colleges and specialities.
The authority will conduct a total of 3 rounds for INI SS 2023 seat allocation. After the allocation of seats, candidates will have to choose any one option from the below-mentioned options.
- Option 1. Accept the allotted Institute and do not wish to participate in further rounds of INI SS 2023 counselling.
- Option 2. Accept the allotted Institute but want to participate in the next round of counselling.
- In case a candidate opts for option 2, he/she will have to accept the seat allotted in this round. The seat allotted in the first round will be considered vacant.
