Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry successfully conducted JIPMER PG entrance exam for July session on June 21, 2020. JIPMER PG 2020 July session was held for admission 125 seats in Masters of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses. The authorities have released the list of candidates for Batch one and two, who are required to report to JIPMER for further admission process. Earlier, the authority had released the round one MD/MS provisional result of JIPMER PG Counselling 2020 on August 4, 2020. Those who have been allotted seats are now required to accept the seat from the link provided on the official website. Earlier, the authority had released the tentative mock counselling seat allotment result for MD/MS on July 29, 2020. It is to be noted that a final opportunity had been given to every candidate to edit/reorder their choices for the final seat allotment result for round one till July 30, up to 5:00 PM. The authorities had earlier released the schedule for JIPMER PG 2020 counselling and seat matrix for round one. Registration, choice filling and uploading of certificates for round one of counselling for JIPMER PG were started from July 22 to 25, 2020. JIPMER PG result 2020 and cutoff was announced on June 27. The result-cum-merit list of JIPMER PG 2020 was released in PDF format. A total of 9,885 candidates had appeared for the examination. Only the candidates included in the merit list were eligible to participate for JIPMER PG counselling process for admission to Puducherry campus.
The authorities had released the mock test of JIPMER PG 2020 for better preparations of candidates on July 17. Earlier, the authorities had released the admit card of JIPMER PG in online mode on June 6, 2020. All registered candidates were allowed to download JIPMER PG admit card 2020, in online mode. It was mandatory to download and carry the hall ticket of JIPMER PG 2020 along with the relevant documents at the exam centres. Earlier, the authority opened JIPMER PG application form to re-select the exam centres due to COVID-19 and social distancing.
JIPMER MD/MS exam was held for three hours, while MDS was conducted for one hour thirty minutes. A total of 100 questions were asked for JIPMER MDS 2020, while for MD/MS, as many as 250 questions were asked.
JIPMER PG 2020 is held for January and July sessions for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses offered in Puducherry campus. The exam is held in a computer-based mode at around various centres of 12 cities in the country. JIPMER is an Institution of National Importance (INI) and is the sole authority to fill MD/MS seats in JIPMER, Puducherry.

The following are the eligibility criteria of JIPMER PG 2020 that candidates are required to fulfill in order to be eligible for the exam.
- Candidates are required to possess a degree in MBBS from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The authorities had extended the last date of the application form of JIPMER PG 2020 for the July session to May 18, 2020. The online registration started on March 4, 2020. JIPMER Puducherry conducts JIPMER PG counselling in the offline mode. However, due to COVID-19, JIPMER PG 2020 counselling for July session is conducted in online mode. The authorities have released the list of MD/MS candidates for Batch one and two on the official website. Candidates from batch two from all across the nation are required to report to JIPMER on August 18, 2020. On the other hand, candidates who reside in Pondicherry from batch two must report to the venue on August 14, 2020. Earlier, batch one candidates were required to report to JIPMER on August 10, 2020. As per the notice released by the aspirants regarding the JIPMER PG counselling 2020, Quarantine facility will be provided to such candidates.
Earlier the authority had published the round one counselling result for MD/MS courses on August 4, 2020. Those who have allotted a seat in the JIPMER PG Counselling round one are required to login from the link provided in the website from August 4 to 10 till 05:00 PM and choose the option to accept/reject the seat. Please note if any candidate fails to login and choose their option will be considered ineligible for further rounds.
The authority had earlier released the tentative mock counselling seat allotment result for MD/MS courses on July 9, 2020. The authorities had announced the schedule for the first round of JIPMER PG counselling 2020 for July session which is July 22, from 11 AM to July 25, till 5 PM. Candidates who qualify the postgraduate entrance examination by meeting the cutoff requirement specified for each category are eligible for JIPMER PG 2020 counselling. Candidates are required to participate for the counselling process on the basis of their rank. It is not necessary that all the candidates who have qualified the exam will be called for the counselling except for the final round of JIPMER PG counselling 2020.

JIPMER PG entrance exam for July session of 2020 will be conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. It will be conducted on June 21st in online mode.
As we are undergoing through critical circumstances due to outbreak of corona virus so there might be some problems in travelling but Indian government has granted the permission for interstate travelling if urgent. But note that you should be asymptomatic.
Admit cards have been released on the portal so you can download it. However candidates who have selected their exam cities in Tamilnadu there admit cards have not been issued till now. They will also release soon.
Note that if you have to travel for such distance and reason so you should travel with full preventive measures.

There are as many as 95 seats in total available through JIPMER PG. 65 seats are for MD courses and 30 are for MS Courses.
