About NEET MDS 2023
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery or NEET MDS 2023 for admission to around 6,228 Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats in 259 dental colleges across India.
As per the latest update, NBE has announced the NEET MDS result 2023 today, March 10. The NEET MDS cutoff 2023 for General category is 272 and that for SC/ST/OBC is 238. Qualified candidates will be able to download the NEET MDS scorecard 2023 on or after March 20. The NEET MDS 2023 exam was conducted on March 1.
Earlier, NBE has opened the final edit window for NEET MDS application form 2023 to upload the correct images. Candidates will be able to make corrections from February 17 to 19, 2023 (11:55 PM). Earlier, the authorities re-opened the NEET MDS 2023 registration form window from February 10 to 12, 2023 at nbe.edu.in. The NEET MDS 2023 exam date is March 1, 2023. Candidates who will register for the exam will be issued NEET MDS admit card 2023. In order to appear for the exam, it is important for each candidate to bring the NEET MDS 2023 hall ticket, along with other relevant documents.
NEET MDS 2023 exam will be held in a computer-based mode for three hours. As per NEET MDS 2023 exam pattern, a total of 240 multiple-choice questions will be asked. Four marks will be awarded for the correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.
NBE will announce the NEET MDS result 2023 at nbe.edu.in including the roll number, marks scored out of 960, and the NEET MDS rank of the candidate. The NEET MDS 2023 cutoff will also be released along with the result. As per the NEET MDS cut-off previous year's cutoff, general category candidates must secure the 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, the percentile is 40th. Through NEET MDS 2023 scores, admission to 6,501 seats offered to 50% All India Quota seats, 50% state quota seats, deemed/central universities, ESIC, and private universities are granted.
After the declaration of the results, the NBE will release the NEET MDS 2023 result cum merit list for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will then conduct the NEET MDS counselling 2023 for 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 100% deemed/central universities and ESIC/AFMS institutes. While the admission to 50% state quota seats and all private colleges will be done by the respective state counselling authorities.

The NEET MDS 2023 eligibility criteria will be considered for admission to the Masters of Dental Surgery courses. These eligibility criteria are decided by the Dental Council of India (DCI) with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The basic requirements to appear for NEET MDS can be checked below:-
· Candidates must hold a BDS degree from a recognised institute to fulfil NEET MDS eligibility criteria 2023.
· Provisional/permanent registration with State Dental Council (SDC) or DCI by June 30, 2023.
· Completion of a one-year compulsory rotatory internship by June 30 of the academic year that a candidate is seeking admission is mandatory.

NEET MDS admit card 2023 will be issued to the registered candidates on the NBE official website. Candidates will be required to submit their user ID and password to download the NEET MDS 2023 hall ticket. NEET MDS 2023 admit card can only be received in online mode, as the hall tickets are not be sent via any offline mode.
After downloading the admit card, candidates must paste their photograph on the document as only then it will be considered by the authorities at the time of the exam. The admit card of NEET MDS 2023 carries information like roll number, allotted exam city and centre. Candidates must note that the NEET MDS admit card is also a mandatory document for the counselling process, therefore, it must be preserved even after the conduction of the exam.

The authorities released the cutoff of NEET MDS 2023 along with the result. In case, to fill the remaining vacant seats in the dental colleges of the country, DCI in consultation with the health ministry may lower the cutoff percentile and marks to provide opportunities to other candidates.
Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline
MCC conducts the counselling of NEET MDS 2023 for admission process to 50% All India Quota seats, deemed/central university seats, ESIC and AFMC seats. Jammu and Kashmir do not participate in the central pool quota, therefore, the counselling for seats in government dental colleges is allotted by the state body responsible.
The authority conducts three rounds of seat allotment for AIQ seats, while a mop-up round will be organised for deemed, central and ESIC colleges. In order to participate in NEET MDS 2023 counselling process, aspirants must secure equal to more than the minimum cutoff percentile.
The qualifiers can participate for the counselling process by registering themselves and providing their preferences of colleges as well as courses. Based on the choice filled, NEET MDS rank, seat availability in the particular college, reservation criteria and other factors, the admission to MDS course will be granted.
While the seat allotment process for 50% state quota and seats in private dental colleges will be conducted by the state counselling body as selected by the state government. The respective regulatory bodies will either organise the counselling process in online or offline mode. NEET MDS admissions in the states include application forms, merit lists and seat allotment procedures. However, to apply for state MDS admissions, the qualified candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria of domicile, age, nationality and other aspects as laid down by the state counselling authorities.

The domicile criteria for NEET in Haryana state that the candidate must be a bonafide resident of the state of Haryana, which means the candidate should have resided there for a minimum of 10 years and should have studied under any board, CBSE, HBSE, AICSE or Open Haryana Board.
