About NEET PG 2020

National Board of Examinations (NBE) had conducted to NEET PG 2020 on January 5 for eligible aspirants in computer based mode. The authorities have started registrations for NEET PG 2020 counselling for the first round on March 12. The counselling shedule of NEET PG 2020 had been released through a notice. Eligible candidates can apply for the first round of NEET PG 2020 counselling till the further order of authorities as it has been postponed due to outbreak of coronavirus. Aspirants seeking more information regarding the NEET PG counselling dates can refer to important dates table below. Earlier, NBE had released the merit list of NEET PG 2020 for All India 50% quota on February 18, 2020. NEET PG merit list 2020 mentions the scores obtained, AIR, 50% All India Rank and category-wise ranks of eligible candidates. Qualifiers who are included in the merit list are being called for NEET PG 2020 counselling process, which will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Earlier the authorities had released the NEET PG score card on February 5, 2020. NBE had declared the result of NEET PG 2020 on  30 in the PDF format. Candidates can download the scorecard of NEET PG 2020 using their user ID and password from the official website by February 3, 2020. The authorities had also released NEET PG 2020 cutoff along with the result.

NBE had released NEET PG results PDF mentioning the roll number, scores obtained (out of 1200), All India Rank (AIR) and qualifying status. Along with the result, the authority had also announced the cutoff of NEET PG 2020 scores equivalent to the percentile. For aspirants from General category must secure at least 50th percentile, while SC/ST/OBC and General-PH must secure 40th and 45th percentile, respectively. Through NEET-PG, candidates will be granted admission to around 19,953 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 10,821 Masters of Surgery (MS), 1979 PG Diploma seats offered by medical institutes across India.

The authority had released the NEET PG 2020 result statistics. The number of candidates category wise who qualified NEET PG are as follows
a. 41788 from General
b. 35039 from OBC
c. 9935 from SC
d. 2787 from ST

Only the candidates who were included in the result could download the scorecard of NEET PG 2020 from February 5.  The seats will be allotted on the basis of NEET PG scores, preferences of colleges as well as courses, seats available, reservation criteria and other factors. NBE will forward the list of qualified candidates to the respective state counselling authorities for admission to remaining 50% state quota seats and private colleges. 

What's New in NEET PG 2020

The number of centres have gone up to 162 with a increase of 14 centres from last year. Baramula, Bardohi and Kota are no longer exam centres in the new list.

The NEET PG 2020 eligibility criteria for aspirants appearing in the postgraduate medical examination has been listed below. 

  • Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and have an MBBS degree or provisional certificate to that effect. 
  • Completion of the rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
  • Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
  • Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.

Correction window of NEET PG application form 2020 was available from December 3 to 7, 2019. Candidates could make corrections or edit some details in their NEET PG application form. The details they can edit or correct are

NBE had released that the NEET PG 2020 application form in the online mode on November 1, 2019. The last date for NEET PG registration was November 21, 2019. Candidates can check the various steps of the application process of NEET PG 2020 here-

  • Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password
  • User ID and password will be then, sent through SMS and Email
  • Fill the application form - Personal Details, Qualification Details (MBBS / Primary Medical Qualification details, Internship Details, SMC/MCI Registration Details), Test Center Details
  • Upload a recent passport size photograph (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) and signature (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) signature
  • Choose test city
  • Make payment of fees in the online mode through debit/credit card or net banking.
  • Take a print out of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it.

Important: Test City will be confirmed only after payment of fee is successful.

NEET PG 2020 Mock Test

NBE has released a demo test of NEET PG 2020 on December 23, 2019. This will be to aid all aspirants appearing for the entrance exam in preparing well by understanding the concept of the computer based test. To avail the mock test, aspirants will have to check the official website, click on the link given therein and start practising using the NEET PG 2020 demo test.

Some pointers to use the NEET PG Demo Test:

  • The login is a dummy window. So candidates must click on "Sign In" to start the test.
  • The test is generally for 20 minutes and has a timer and all factors available in the actual test.
  • No scores will be given for the demo test of NEET PG.
  • No correct answers will also be given. Candidates will have to look those up.

The NEET PG admit card 2020 was released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on December 31, 2019. The NEET PG 2020 hall ticket was available only in the online mode. The admit card of NEET PG 2020 had been downloaded by the aspirants who had successfully completed the process of registration. Candidates had downloaded the NEET PG admit card from the official link by entering their user ID and password until January 5, 2020. Upon downloading the admit card of NEET PG 2020, candidates were required to affix a recent passport-sized photograph on the admit card.

NBE had released the merit list of NEET PG 2020 for All India Quota 50% seats on February 18. The merit list of NEET PG 2020 contained the roll number of the candidates, marks obtained (out of 1200) and rank secured. Earlier the authorities had announced the NEET PG result 2020 on January 30 in online mode. All the qualified candidates could download the score card of NEET PG 2020 using their user ID and password from February 5. The result mentions roll number, All India Rank and marks (out of 1200). The authorities has released the NEET PG 2020 statistic, which indicates 167102 candidates registered for the exam. However, 160888 candidates appeared for the same and 89,549 aspirants have qualified the exam. Candidates who appeared in the postgraduate examination can check their NEET PG 2020 result available in the PDF file. The result of NEET PG 2020 indicates whether a candidate has qualified in the exam or not. Candidates need to secure the minimum cutoff percentile in order to be included in the rank list of NEET PG 2020 result.

How to check NEET PG 2020 result?

  • Candidates must click on the result link given on the official website
  • They must enter their user ID and password
  • The result will be displayed and must be downloaded by candidates

The NEET mark sheet cum result certificate can be downloaded to be used for admissions. This is in actual the result. The NEET scores will be passed on to the respective states to be used for their respective counselling procedures.   

NBE had released the NEET PG cutoff 2020 along with the result. The NEET PG cutoff is decided by NBE and is subject to revision. NEET PG cutoff percentile varies for different categories. NEET PG counselling 2020 is being conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee) for the seats under All India Quota and in Central and Deemed universities, while the state quota seat allotment process will be conducted by respective state counselling authorities. Only the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate for NEET PG 2020 counselling. The registrations for NEET PG counselling 2020 has started in online mode on March 12.

All India Counselling of NEET PG 2020 will be for

  • All India 50% quota
  • Medical Educational Institutions of Central Govt.
  • AFMS Institutions
  • Universities established by an act of Parliament
  • Deemed Universities

State Level NEET PG 2020 counselling will be for

  • State Quota Seats in Government/Private Medical Institutions in a State Institutions established by State. Govt.
  •  Universities established by an Act of State / Union Territory Legislature, Municipal Bodies Trust, society, Company or Minority Institutions

 MCC will release the provisional first allotment list of NEET PG counselling 2020, while the final result will be made available  Once the seats are allotted, aspirants need to provide an option for upgradation and also download the allotment letter. Thereafter, report to the allotted college with the relevant documents.

Only the qualified candidates who will secure the minimum cutoff percentile will be required to register with the counselling bodies. There are two rounds of NEET PG 2020 counselling. The second round of NEET counselling for PG courses will begin from first week of April. The mop-up round of counselling will be conducted for Deemed and Central Universities only. Candidates allotted seats through NEET PG counselling 2020 will be required to report to the allotted colleges within the stipulated time for admission purposes.

You need to carry the original certificates along with the photocopy of your certificates.So by net copy if you meant soft copy or photocopy alone then it will not be accepted and your candidature may be cancelled so you need to carry original MBBS certificate or provisional certificate, MBBS marksheet of 1,2 and 3 professional examinations along with other necessary documents such as NEET PG admit card 2020, NEET PG result 2020, Certificate of completion of internship from the head of the institution stating that the internship was completed on or before March 31, 2020, permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by MCI or SMC, class 10 certificate, category certificate if applicable, photo identity card issued by the government (voter id, pan card etc), disabled certificate issued by the medical board only if applicable.
