It is not possible to get admission to AIIMS without appearing for NEET . After 2019, AIIMS started conducting MBBS admissions through the NEET UG exam. This means that to get admission to AIIMS for MBBS or any other medical course, you must clear the NEET UG exam.
If you do not want to appear for NEET , you can consider applying for other programs at AIIMS, such as nursing , paramedical courses , etc. These programs also have their own entrance exams.
So, if you are interested in MBBS or medical courses at AIIMS, you will have to appear for NEET .

Yes, it is possible to change your category from OBC-NCL to General during MBBS counseling, even if you initially applied under OBC-NCL in the NEET application. While you cannot change the category on the application itself after the correction window closes, you can typically do so during the counseling process itself, especially if you are no longer eligible for the OBC-NCL category.
For the General category in NEET, aiming for a government medical college, a score of around 650- 720 is generally considered a good score for securing admission. The exact cutoff score varies based on the specific college and state. To be in the top 50th percentile, which is the cutoff for the General category, a score of 164 is needed.
