AIIMS MBBS 2016 application closes on March 15; Last minute rush causes server to crash
The last minute rush while applying for AIIMS MBBS 2016 application form on March 15 has brought down the server resulting in registration failure for many candidates. Many prospective candidates have reported that they have failed to fill AIIMS MBBS 2016 application due to multiple technical errors at the time of registration.
Majority of candidates who called Careers360 said that they got stuck at the ‘Payment Process’ where despite of making payment the application status was showing ‘incomplete payment’. Further, candidates who successfully completed the payment process were unable to upload their signature, photograph and thumb impression despite many attempts due to slow server speed.
Traun Khamabe, an aspirant from Pune had to pay double the application fee as he tried to move to the next step after payment but was still unable to continue with his registration. “I paid Rs. 1,000 twice but could not move to the next stage of selecting the examination centre and filling up the academic qualifications and address”.
Earlier, the examination authority had, however, issued an official notification on multiple exam fee payments stating that excess fee will be refunded to candidates. According to the official release, multiple payments done for application form will be reverted by March 20, 2016 after cross verification of payment data by the examination authority.
The application procedure for AIIMS MBBS 2016 academic session started on February 15 and closes on March 15, 2016 at 05:00 PM. AIIMS MBBS 2016 application form was a six (6) step procedure which involved filling application form, fee & payment mode, selection of exam centres, uploading image, signature, left thumb impression, etc. All steps are mandatory and must be completed by candidates in order to obtain final confirmation for appearing in AIIMS MBBS 2016 exam.
However, with technical glitches in the registration process, the fate of many medical aspirants, who were unable to fill up their forms, hangs in the balance. The bigger question is whether AIIMS, New Delhi, the conducting authority of AIIMS MBBS 2016 will extent the application deadline for test and, if not, how will these students be accommodated?
AIIMS MBBS 2016 is scheduled to be conducted in computer based mode on May 29, 2016 at 171 exam centres of India for admission to 672 MBBS seats in 7 AIIMS institutions. The Computer Based Test (CBT) AIIMS MBBS 2016 will be conducted in two shifts i.e. morning and forenoon session for 03 hours and 30 minutes duration.
