According to the national daily Indian Express, the police had arrested four persons including an MBBS student, from Rohtak on May 3. The four arrested had allegedly passed on AIPMT 2015 answer keys to students using vests with SIM card units and bluetooth enabled earpieces during the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT).

According to the police, the gang members had made deals with nine students offering them the answer keys for a fee ranging from Rs 15 lakh to 20 lakh.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, which conducts AIPMT across India is, however, yet to confirm about any leak of the answer keys. “The paper had been conducted smoothly across the country and we have no information about the alleged paper leak,” KK Chaudhry, Controller of Examinations at CBSE was quoted as saying after the national level medical entrance exam ended on May 3.

A few other national dailies reported that answer keys of 90 questions, mobile chips, micro earphones, blue-tooth devices and digital watches had been seized from the possession of those arrested for the alleged AIPMT answer key leak.

Rohtak IGP Shrikant Jadhav said, “The accused had planned to stitch the gadgets to the candidates’ undergarments through which the answer key was to be passed on to them”. Suspecting a conspiracy in the AIPMT exam, he had set up a team of officials to keep an eye on the exam and caught the gang before the exam by following their cellphone locations.

The newspapers have also reported that the traces of AIPMT 2015 answer key were found in the WhatsApp inbox of a mobile phone seized from the possession of those arrested. Rohtak SP Shashank Anand said they would approach the CBSE authorities to confirm if the seized answer key was genuine. “If it is genuine, we will investigate whether it was leaked from the CBSE office or a PMT center or during transit,” he said.

The official answer key of AIPMT 2015 is scheduled to be published by CBSE between May 15 to 20, 2015. The results of AIPMT 2015 will be declared on June 5, 2015.

AIPMT 2015 is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). AIPMT 2015 Result will be basis for admissions to MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota in Government medical and dental colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir states.
