The examination authority is holding internal discussions and the officials are expected to announce a fresh date for AIPMT in next few days.  According to official sources, students will not be required to apply for the entrance test again but the CBSE is likely to issue fresh admit cards to all applicants.

The Supreme Court on Monday June 15, 2015 had cancelled AIPMT 2015 exam after considering the adverse impact on the exam and evaluation process due to 'answer key leak' during exam. The Apex Court had annulled the All India Pre- Medical Entrance Exam after multiple hearing on the petitions filed by parents as well as students demanding re-examination of the coveted medical entrance examination of India.  The court had also directed the exam authority, CBSE to conduct a re-test within four weeks beginning June 15.

AIPMT is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam taken by as many as 6 lakh candidates for admission to approximately 3200 MBBS and 300 BDS seats under 15% All India Quota in Government medical and dental colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir states.

After the exam was conducted on May 3, instances of answer key leak were reported from different places across India.
