American University Antigua College of Medicine MD Admission Notice
The American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine is inviting applications for its six-year MD program (BSc to MD and Pre-Med to MD), based on American medical education system, an equivalent of the Indian MBBS degree. AUA College of Medicine is a division of Manipal Global Education Services and follows USA curriculum. Thus, students will also be taking US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step exams during their program to become eligible for medical practice in the USA.

The last date to apply for AUA MD program is July 20, 2018. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and qualify NEET 2018, in order to become eligible for AUA six-year MD program. Their National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores will then be used to determine eligibility for admissions.
The six-year MD program of AUA is offered in two formats, one being BSc to MD and other Pre-med to MD. AUA MD program, which can be pursued right after Class 12 for Indian students, begins with two year Pre-Med program, consisting of four semesters, which can be completed at Manipal University, India (under BSc to MD format) or at American International College of Arts and Sciences (AICASA), Antigua (under Pre-med to MD format). Remaining four year MD program of AUA is divided into two components – Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences. Basic sciences component is of two-year (four semesters) duration taught at AUA campus in Antigua, and Clinical sciences component of two years at affiliated teaching hospitals in the USA. After successful completion of the six-year program, the students will be awarded the MD degree.

Eligibility Criteria for MD Program at AUA, Antigua
For MD
Candidate must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
Candidate must have obtained at least 50% (40% for reserved categories) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidate must qualify NEET 2018 by scoring at least 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC category and 45th percentile for General-PH).

After submission of all the above-said documents and information, the Associate Director of Admissions of AUA will interview the student for 45 minutes approximately through Skype or Face to Face medium. Thereafter, the final decision of student’s admission will be provided by Admissions Committee of AICASA or AUA.
