Introduction: All India Common Entrance Test (ASSO CET 2014) will be held on Sunday May 18, 2014 for admission to the first year of MBBS and BDS programs.  Association of Management of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Maharashtra (AMUPMDC) has invited the application form for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) through the national level entrance examination for the academic year 2014. The ASSOCET 2014 application has begun on March 10, 2014 and the last date for applying is April 20, 2014.

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission in ASSO CET 2014 course must have following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates belonging unreserved category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination

  • Candidates belonging to reserved category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination

  • Candidates applying for MBBS and BDS course must be born on or before December 31, 1997 will be eligible to appear in ASSO -CET 2014

Exam Pattern: The ASSO CET 2014 Exam will be a 3 hour single question paper exam which will have 200 multiple choice questions out of which 50 will be from physics, 50 from chemistry and 100 will be from biology. Each right answer will have 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for a wrong response.

Selection Procedure: On the basis of the ASSO CET 2014 entrance exam candidates will be shortlisted. On the basis of rank in merit list candidates will be called for counseling.

Dear Sreenivasan, NBE hasn't released NEET PG official notification and schedule yet. As of now, all we have is a tentative schedule. The official notification will be released tentatively during the 1st or 2nd weeks of November. To be eligible for NEET PG, you should be able to complete your 1 year Mandatory Internship ateast by March 31st,  2020. how many phsically handicapped seats qouta in M.D.S in government Colleges .........in neet pg M.D.S

hello aspirant,

there are total 1352 seats are available in government colleges in india for M.D.S. however as per the rules of government of india 3% seats are reserve for physically handicapped candidate, (only for physically handicapped with the locomotory disorders and that too with disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% as per MCI regulation) . so total 40 seats are for physically handicapped.

Greetings!

You will be happy to know that there's no minimum percentage which needs to be obtained by medical graduates to be eligible for neet pg . To be eligible  for neet pg  medical graduates are required to possess Indian Medical Council Act 1956 recognised MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate. Candidates are required to mandatorily have permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification which is to be issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) and candidate must complete their one year internship on or before March 31, 2020 to be eligible for Neet pg 2020. when I open any college profile, there is written - (Exams accepted Neet UG,Neet PG. etc) what does that mean?

Dear Utsav, that actually means the College in particular has MBBS, MD,MS courses and the admissions to these courses are through NEET UG, NEET PG,etc. Apart from MBBS, courses like BDS, Ayush, Veterinary sciences also conduct admissions through NEET. In some States, courses like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy also accept NEET score. So, if you are searching for any Medical College, this information showing up is pretty normal.

How many attempts are allowed for NEET PG exams?

Dear Priya, there is no upper age limit for appearing for NEET PG and also there is no cap on the number of times one can appear for NEET PG. As long as you fulfil the eligibility crtieria, you are eligible to appear for NEET PG. Having said that, with amendments to NMC Bill, in the next 3 years, NEET PG may be scrapped. Until then, NEET PG will be the entrance exam for admission to MD/MS courses.
