CBSE releases revised answers keys for NEET 2016; awards 4 marks to all candidates

CBSE issues revised answers keys for NEET 2016The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the exam conducting authority has released revised answer keys for both the phases of NEET 2016, which awards 4 marks to all candidates for discrepancies in the question papers.

CBSE had previously released the official answer keys of NEET 2016 Phase 1 and 2 on August 8, 2016, where candidates had found several discrepancies. However, CBSE had also given students the option of challenging the answers till August 10 by paying Rs.1000.

Earlier, Careers360 had done a comprehensive analysis of NEET 2016 answer keys released by leading coaching institutes which raised doubts over multiple wrong questions. Experts from coaching institutes had also suggested discrepancies in question or answer options in more than 3 questions in both the phases. However, CBSE has only added 4 marks for one question. While the revised answer keys of both the phases suggest that it is question number 9 against which CBSE has added the bonus marks, it is not clear whether it relates to the same question across both the phases.

CBSE has also issued cut-offs for 15% All India quota seats after declaring the revised answer keys.  Hence, the final cut-off is not expected to be affected by the revised answer keys.

According to your marks, chances are less of admission to government dental colleges under AIQ and also under state quota. You can try for private colleges and deemed universities.
Good luck!
