The examination dates for EAMCET Medical and COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 are clashing. The examination of the two major undergraduate medical entranceshas been scheduled on the same date i.eMay 10, 2015.
The clash of dates of the two entrances has left several medical aspirants in dilemma.
“Leaving anyone of the exams can lower the chances getting enrolled into an MBBS programmes,”says RaghvendraChandilaa medical aspirant from Bangalore. “Getting into medical programmes is very tough in India as the ratio of seats with respect to test takers are less. This will certainly hamper the opportunity of medical aspirants this year,” he added.

According to a COMEDK official, as many as 96,100 candidates had taken the test across the statein 2014. Of the total number of candidates, 45,235 appeared for medical (PCB – Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 12,570 for medical as well as engineering (PCMB).
According to EAMCET officials, a total of 1, 12,851 candidates appeared for medical and agriculture stream in 2014.
Another medical aspirant from Delhi, NaliniAiyer says, “I am already under pressure of medical exams and this news will hamper prospects this year. But I don’t want to miss either of the exams. I am just hoping that the date for one of the exam is changed.”
COMEDK had issued the exam notification on October 28, 2014 much earlier than the announcement of EAMCET Medical 2015, which has been announced in the third week of January, 2015.
