IIHMR University at AIIMS Delhi IPHACON 2020
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) recently organized 64th Annual National Conference of Indian Public Health Association to promote public health leadership for universal health coverage in India. The three-day conference had doctors, epidemiologists, sociologists, managers and other public health experts from across the nation came under one roof and explored innovative engagement models that leverage the innate power of organizations/institutions that have strong values and long term perspectives for promoting the health of people.
Dr. S D Gupta, Chairman, IIHMR University, Jaipur also took part in the conference, where he spoke in detail about the quality of healthcare management education and it's global standards, how Ayushman Bharat is providing aid in the public health delivery services and the role of Indian the medical education system in allowing students to become skilled healthcare professionals.
“Quality is very important, the quality of health service is very important whether it is a hospital or primary healthcare. The reason being if the quality is there, the quality needs to be related to health outcomes who want to go for some treatment, you should be treated and cured. And the second important thing is the satisfaction derived out of, the services that you get are the two important things and what happens is the happens, people utilize more, not only the people are healthier but also they utilize the services that are underutilized, you might be knowing only 30% of people go to the government sector for the treatment in OPDS,70% of them go to the private sector despite huge infrastructure. and now the question arises why they don't utilize because primarily due to the poor quality of the services(talking about public health, healthcare in rural areas). Also, to make the services sustainable you have to improve the quality by setting standards, you have to benchmark them, you have to set up a monitoring system to develop indicators to measure those standards, find out the gaps in quality, so it is pure quality management,” he said about the quality of healthcare management education and its global standards.

- For mba-pm the avg placement was of Rs 4.7 lacs & highest being 11.56 lacs pa. Total 18 organizations visited the campus.
- For mba-hm the avg placement was of Rs 5.52 lacs & highest being 11.28 lacs pa. Total 56 organizations visited the campus.
- For mba-rm the avg placement was of Rs 3.87 lacs & highest being 5 lacs pa.
