Rajasthan HC stays PC PMT Counselling
Rajasthan High Court has put stay on counselling to MBBS and BDS programmes in the private colleges of the state in the wake of allegations of corrupt malpractices during the counselling.
As per the media reports, MDS University Ajmer conducted the PC PMT (Private Medical and Dental Colleges Pre-Medical Test) for MBBS and BDS admissions and the result was declared in the form of percentile.
The candidates securing 50th percentile in general category as well as 40 percentile in other reserved category were declared eligible to participate in the counselling process, but when the candidates reached the venue for counselling they were denied to participate in the counselling process citing bar under MCI regulations for admitting students as per percentage obtained and not on percentile.
The court was told that around 50 candidates were given admission but those candidates neither qualified the exam or appear for the Rajasthan PC PMT 2015, nor participated in the counselling.
Documents were also shown to the court supporting the allegations of fake admissions along with an FIR lodged by a ‘successful’ candidate’s father showing that his son was in Bikaner at the date of Counselling whereas the counselling federation has marked him present with his fake signatures.
The High Court has ruled that the admissions given by the Federation of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Rajasthan (FPMDCR); the official exam conducting authority ,so far will be provisional and subject to the outcome of the writ petition.
However, the official website of FPMDCR shows that the counselling for MBBS and BDS course is over as per the guidelines issued by MCI and DCI, New Delhi but the candidates can participate in the counselling process for Physiotherapy course.
After the exam was cancelled on May 31, it was rescheduled for June 10, 2015. The federation did not state any reason for the postponement and again rescheduled the exam for July 16, 2015.
The Federation of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Rajasthan conducted Rajasthan PC PMT 2015 on July 16 for admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes offered in 19 private member institutions. Among the participating colleges there are 5 Medical Institutions having 545 MBBS seats and 14 Dental Institutions having 1145 BDS seats.

Re - Percentage Scored in Qualifying Exam. I graduated from a medical college. Theres no CGPA and for NEET PG we usually enter percentages for all years separately. For SSC-CGL, does it refer only to final year or the average of 4 years?
Hello,
The eligibility criteria for SSC CGL 2020 for Junior Statistical Officer post is that a candidate must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% Marks in Mathematics in 10+2 level or must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects. For Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer and all other post a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree from a recognized board.
So there is no minimum percentage required in qualifying exam to be eligible to appear for SSC CGL but in the application form you have to enter the education details, you have to enter the aggregate percentage that you have scored in all semesters/years in the qualifying exam.
