AIPGDEE is now NEET MDS; test from November 30

AIPGDEE is now NEET MDSThe National Board of Examinations (NBE) will now be conducting NEET MDS from academic session 2017 onwards, replacing AIPGDEE which was conducted by AIIMS.  As per the official notification released by NBE, no other entrance exam either at a state or institutional level will be valid for entry to MDS courses as per the Dentist Act, 1948.

The notification on NBE website, regarding NEET MDS states, “National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET MDS on All India Basis for admission to various MDS courses at various Dental Colleges/Institutions of the country.”

However, the admissions to the seven MDS seats in AIIMS New Delhi will be on the basis of AIIMS PG entrance exam.


As per the test notification, NEET MDS 2017 will be conducted in a four-day window starting from November 30 to December 3, 2016. The entrance exam will be a computer based test (CBT) to be conducted at test centres located in 41 cities of India.

The application forms of NEET MDS 2017 will be released on September 26 till October 31, 2016 in online mode only. Candidates can choose the exam date and centre through online registration system on first come first serve basis.


The application fee amount for General and OBC candidate is Rs.3750, while it is Rs.2750 for SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates to be remitted through payment gateway at the time of online registration process, using a credit card/debit card or internet banking.


NEET MDS 2017 result is scheduled to be declared on or before January 15, 2017.
