JIPMER PG 2020 prospectus discrepancies & changes - The release of prospectus for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER-PG) has created confusion among the PG medical and dental applicants. The authority on March 4, 2020, has released the JIPMER PG exam application form and official bulletin with many changes of test centres, exam date, seats among others. Some major errors can also be seen in JIPMER 2020 prospectus related to admit card date and exam centres, which has been pointed below.
JIPMER PG 2020 prospectus creates chaos!
JIPMER PG admit card dates: The information bulletin has announced the release date of JIPMER PG 2020 admit card, which is April 28, as mentioned in Page 4 of the important dates section. However, the hall ticket section on Page number 19 mentions April 29, 2020, as the JIPMER PG hall ticket downloading date. A proof and for better idea, candidates can check screenshots of both dates below.
Note: Since, there is an error of a date for one day on availability of admit card. However, one should understand that incorrect details in the admit card date might create confusion among JIPMER PG applicants for an entire day, which can be avoided.
JIPMER PG 2020 prospectus dates mentions that the admit card can be downloaded from the said date below.
This section shows that hall tickets will be available from April 29.
Number of exam centres: As per the prospectus page number 19, JIPMER PG entrance exam will be conducted in 12 major cities of India, which can be checked in the image below. Since, the number and name of JIPMER PG exam centres will be displayed at the time of application form.
However, Page number 25 indicating the summary of the JIPMER PG exam mentions that exam cities are 10.
While filling the JIPMER PG application forms 2020, aspirants have to provide three (3) preferences of exam cities in which they wish to take the exam. As per the JIPMER PG 2020 application form, it has been clarified that 12 exam cities are provided, of which only three choices should be provided.
Major JIPMER PG 2020 changes
Through the official prospectus of JIPMER PG 2020 July session, the following changes has been noticed:
1. JIPMER PG exam date changed - The exam date of JIPMER PG 2020 July session as mentioned in the brochure is May 16. Earlier, the exam date for the computer based exam was May 17, 2020.
2. Hike in seats - From the past few years, JIPMER Puducherry was organising JIPMER PG exam for admission to 100 seats in 24 specialties of Masters of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses. In this session, JIPMER PG 2020 will be conducted for admission to 125 MD/MS seats.
3. Increase in test centres - Along with the seats, the authority has also broadened its reach. JIPMER PG July session 2020 will be held in 12 cities of India, in which Kochi, Hyderabad, Indore and Jammu has been newly added. While, Trivandrum and Vijaywada has been deducted from the list.

Hello sir,Is interstate travel allowed for JIPMER PG exam sir??
JIPMER PG entrance exam for July session of 2020 will be conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. It will be conducted on June 21st in online mode.
As we are undergoing through critical circumstances due to outbreak of corona virus so there might be some problems in travelling but Indian government has granted the permission for interstate travelling if urgent. But note that you should be asymptomatic.
Admit cards have been released on the portal so you can download it. However candidates who have selected their exam cities in Tamilnadu there admit cards have not been issued till now. They will also release soon.
Note that if you have to travel for such distance and reason so you should travel with full preventive measures.

how much seats are in jipmer pg .
There are as many as 95 seats in total available through JIPMER PG. 65 seats are for MD courses and 30 are for MS Courses. Under MD Courses, 61 seats are for Indian Nationals including OCI card Holders, 3 are for Indian Candidate sponsored by the Govt. and 1 is for Foreign National. For MS Courses, 28 seats are for Indian Nationals including OCI card Holders, 1 is for Indian Candidate sponsored by the Govt. and 1 is for Foreign National
When is the postponed exam date of 2020?
I completed my internship in march 2020 batch,(With corona extension till april) due to corona issues we could not get our permanent MCI registration number and OBC certificate. will i be able to write this july 2020 exam with provisional registration number and BC certificate???
I think you will because this Covid-19 is a situation that not only india but whole world facing and that has caused lot of changes in various things from education to business and and not only the education institutions but the government is also aware of these thing and you are not alone thousands if students are in the same boat as you.So, i am sure government will make any provision for this and you will definitely be able to appear in the pg exams.
I am applying for jipmer md/ms I logged in using the registration details but I am unable to see the go to application form tab or button or option whatever it is. what should I do? Im doing it in my phone is it because of that?
You need not to worry this issue. There might be some technical error or there may be network issue which is causing this problem. Please follow the given methods :-
- Try to refresh the tab again and again.
- Close all tabs and restart it.
- Open the tab in desktop mode or on desktop.
- Once recheck your details which you are entering
