in the year 2020 will neet and aiims be combined entrance exam?

Pushpa 22nd Feb, 2020

Hello,

In the year 2020 aiims will not have any separate exam it is combined  in neet.

There will be a common entrance test  NEET from 2020 onwards. You will not have to prepare separately for AIIMS or JIPMER. They all are included under NEET. Qualifying candidates will be assigned the medical college based on the marks and ranks they score .

Is their any problem in getting seatcin AIIMS or neet if I get 70%in my 10+2??

thakre thakre 21st Feb, 2020
No you will not have any problem as both AIIMS and NEET require students to score 60% in 3 compulsory subjects i.e.physics , chemistry and biology. As you scored 70% you will not have any problem in giving AIIMS or NEET or getting seat in the colleges.

I am from Andhra pradesh and of obc cat. WhT should be my target to get college in ap and as neet is only entrance for aiims wht must be my target to get seat in aiims ?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 18th Feb, 2020

Admission to AIIMS will be conducted at All India Counselling. So under OBC Category for AIIMS, your score should be nothing less than 625-650. This is because at All India level, the cut offs are usually higher. And coming to AP, it depends on the area you are a locale to i.e AU, OU and SVU. Now in 2018, the cut offs for BC Category under various areas have been as follows:

AU: 484

SVU:473

OU: 458

Now this is 2018 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For 2020, your target should be nothing less than 550 for a seat in a GMC in AP. For guidance in counselling and admission, we have MBBS Companion:
