are 11th attempt and 12th passed and neet passed students are allowed to study mbbs in abroad

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020

Pooja, that depends on the University guidelines that you want to apply for studying Medicine in. Few Universities have a mandate that the Students should have a certain number of years of education. If you have only attempted 11th, that will not be counted. But to qualify to study MBBS abroad, you need to qualify in NEET and the basic eligibility criteria for NEET apply.

hello i passed 12th in 2014 but have 48% in pcb. this year i filled the form as improvement in open school. but exam is on November. and neet exam is on may. wot can i do now.

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020

Neha, you haven't mentioned your Category. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now assuming that you belong to General Category, you should have the results before counselling starts. But if the exams are in November, unfortunately they wont be of much help for NEET 2020 and you may have to appear for NEET 2021.

i did 12 with pcm from cbse ,now doing pcb from nios ,is i am eligible for neet 2020???

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020

Priyanka, you can just study Biology as an additional subject from NIOS instead of all 3 Physics, Chemistry and Biology and you can still be eligible for NEET. Now even NIOS students are eligible for NEET. You need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in these 3 subjects to be eligible for NEET. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.

Hey there, good morning. i belong to Muslim religion, category open (general), but as i am Muslim and with open category, is it compulsory for me to select minority as yes in the form because i dont have a minority certificate to show them when needed. i have already selected "No". can i change??

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020

The Information Bulletin says that Candidates who belong to Minority community for example Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi can select Minority as Yes in the application form. And there is a self declaration form in the Information bulletin in Appendix XIII. You need to download it, fill it up and sign it. And then that will act as a proof of the fact that you belong to Minority community. It's on page 85 at: https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/ShowPdf.aspx?Type=1F7D662EC0F41DE2013706728E830CBF545FD969&ID=D435A6CDD786300DFF204EE7C2EF942D3E9034E2

You can change your minority status in the correction window. NTA has opened the correction window on January 15th and will be open until January 31st. Login into the official website and make the necessary corrections.
