The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET UG 2025 exam on May 4 for around 20.8 lakh students, as per media reports. The authority will now release the NEET 2025 official answer key along with recorded responses at neet.nta.nic.in. Students will be able to challenge the NEET 2025 answer key by paying Rs 200 within a specific time. The final answer key will be released along with the NEET 2025 result, which is scheduled to be out on June 14.
Earlier, the NEET UG 2025 admit card was issued on April 30, 2025. The city intimation slip of NEET UG 2025 was released on April 23. The authority closed the correction window for NEET 2025 on March 11. The NTA changed the NEET exam pattern 2025 by removing section B and additional time of 20 minutes. As per the updated exam pattern of NEET 2025, 180 questions were asked that need to be answered in 3 hours.
On January 16, the authority released the NEET 2025 exam mode notice at nta.ac.in. As per the official notification, NEET 2025 remains a pen-and-paper-based mode exam. Following the conclusion of the NEET exam, NTA releases the official answer key. Using the NEET 2025 answer key released by NTA, candidates can estimate their probable NEET 2025 score. Candidates should consult the answer key to assess their performance in NEET 2025. For candidates who wish to challenge the questions, a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 applies. NEET UG final answer key is released a few hours before the announcement of the result. Candidates cannot challenge the NTA NEET 2025 final answer key under any circumstances.
The NEET result 2025 is announced by NTA on neet.nta.nic.in in the form of scorecards. These scorecards include details about candidates, their qualifications, marks, All India Rank (AIR), category, and the 15% All India Quota. Furthermore, the scorecards display the qualifying NEET cutoff scores for candidates belonging to general, SC, ST, and OBC categories. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET counselling 2025 based on NEET 2025 scores for 15% of all AIQ seats in government colleges and 100% for deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, and JIPMER. The state counselling authorities conduct counselling for the remaining 85% of state quota seats.
The NEET AIQ counselling process comprises four rounds: rounds 1, 2, 3, and stray vacancy round. A seat gets allocated according to the choices selected by applicants, the rank in the NEET 2025, and the availability of seats and reservations. NEET UG 2025 counselling process includes registering, choosing courses, and paying the registration fee.
Applicants who qualify as part of the NEET 2025 All India Quota, are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The vacant seats after round two in NEET 2025 counselling in AIQ are returned to the respective states.

Yes, some private colleges and a few state universities offer BHMS admission without NEET . Usually, these admissions are based on 10+2 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Some states have their own entrance exams, and some private colleges allow direct admission under management quota.
However, NEET is the most common and widely accepted exam for BHMS. Before applying without NEET, check if the college is recognised by the government and has proper accreditation to avoid future issues with your degree.
