The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2025 on May 4, 2025. The city intimation slip of NEET UG 2025 will be released on April 26. The NTA will issue the admit card for NEET exam by April 1. The authority closed the correction window for NEET 2025 on March 11. The NTA changed the NEET exam pattern 2025 by removing section B and an additional time of 20 minutes. As per the updated exam pattern of NEET 2025, 180 questions will be asked that need to be answered in 3 hours. There will be no optional questions in NEET 2025. On January 16, the authority released the NEET 2025 exam mode notice at nta.ac.in. As per the official notification, NEET 2025 will remain a pen-and-paper-based mode exam. NTA releases the information bulletin of NEET 2025 mentioning the eligibility criteria, important dates, application procedure, list of exam centres and many other important details. The NEET 2025 information bulletin is released both in Hindi and English language.

Eligible candidates are required to fill NEET application form in online mode. The authority will issue the NEET admit cards for the successfully registered candidates. The authority will release the NEET answer key a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the answer key by paying Rs 200 per answer. After this process, the authority will declare the NEET 2025 result along with the cutoff. NEET official answer key will also be released along with the result.

Candidates qualifying for the medical entrance test by securing the NEET cutoff 2025 will be eligible for counselling. NEET counselling will be conducted online in 4 rounds. Through the NEET exam 2025, admission will be granted to over 1 lakh MBBS seats in India, 27,618 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, 603 BVSc & AH seats, along with 1,899 AIIMS seats and 249 JIPMER seats, distributed across 612 medical and 315 dental colleges. NEET city intimation slip 2025

The NEET 2025 city allotment will be released by NTA on the official website. Candidates who have successfully registered for the NEET can download the city intimation slip by using NEET application number, date of birth and security pin. The city intimation slip of NEET mentions the allotted exam city, candidate's name, gender, category, medium of question paper, exam date and other details. NEET cutoff

The authority releases the cutoff of NEET UG along with declaring the result. Candidates scoring equal or above the NEET UG cut off are considered qualified for the exam and can sit for the counselling process.

NEET 2025 Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET counselling 2025 based on NEET 2025 scores for 15% of all AIQ seats in government colleges and 100% for deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, and JIPMER. The state counselling authorities conduct counselling for the remaining 85% of state quota seats.

The NEET AIQ counselling process comprises four rounds: rounds 1, 2, 3, and stray vacancy round. A seat gets allocated according to the choices selected by applicants, the rank in the NEET 2025, and the availability of seats and reservations. NEET UG 2025 counselling process includes registering, choosing courses, and paying the registration fee.
