All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a government-run group of medical institutions and research facilities. To secure a seat in an MBBS and undergraduate course in AIIMS, candidates need to fulfil NEET eligibility criteria as set by the authority. The eligibility criteria for AIIMS undergraduate courses are as follows -
The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as on December 31 of the year of admission.
There is no upper age limit.
The minimum qualifying percentile required in the entrance exam is 50% for the unreserved category, whereas 45% for candidates in the reserved category.
Candidates should have passed their class 12 standard with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognised educational board.
Candidates aspiring to secure a seat in postgraduate courses in AIIMS such as MD/MS/MDS, need to fulfil INI CET eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are as follows -
Applicants seeking admission to MD and MS programmes must hold an MBBS degree and those applying for MDS courses should possess a BDS degree, recognised from a NMC recognised university.
Candidates are required to have completed the 12-month compulsory rotatory internship and obtain a completion certificate for the same.
Candidates falling under the General/OBC/EWS category must have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% in the MBBS/BDS program compulsorily while those belonging to SC/ST category must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
