No clinical or practical examination are held at the time of counselling for allotment of NEET PG 2017 MD/MS seats. Also, the counselling is held online.
Candidates must participate online for NEET PG 2017 Counselling as per the schedule against their ranks in NEET PG 2017 merit list.
For NEET PG 2017 counselling rounds, candidates three times the total number of seats available will likely be called. This means only one in three candidates appearing in the counselling will get a seat.
Candidates who fail to attend any of the three counselling sessions will not be considered for admission irrespective of their rank in NEET PG 2017 merit list. However, if a candidate misses a counselling round, he/she can participate in one of the remaining counselling rounds.
Also, candidates missing the first or second round, barring a few exceptions, have to opt for seats and disciplines that are left after allotment in the previous rounds.
Vacant MD/MS seats will be offered to the candidate immediately listed next in the merit list. If one does not get a progamme of choice in first round of counselling, one can attend the next counselling session and request an upgrade.
