NEET PG Counselling 2019 – The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the final result of NEET PG 2019 counselling for mop-up round on May 18. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the mop-up round must download the NEET PG 2019 seat allotment letter to report at the designated colleges. The links to download the seat allotment letter and final result is available on this page. A total of 623 candidates have been allotted seats in mop-up round counselling of NEET PG 2019. The eligible aspirants must report at the allotted colleges from May 20 to 26, 2019. Once the mop-round NEET PG counselling will conclude, the remaining vacant seats will be transferred to the central and deemed universities on May 27, 2019. In case of other vacant seats, a stray round will also be conducted from May 27 to 31, 2019.

Earlier, the Medical Council of India (MCI) in consultation with the union government have lowered the NEET PG cutoff by six percentile. Therefore, the remaining seats will be filled by the respective state counselling authorities. The vacant seats as on April 22, 2019, under 50% All India Quota seats were transferred by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to the respective state counselling authorities for allotment of seats under the state quota seats. National Board of Examination has been directed to prepare a revised merit list for all states considering the revised cutoff.

Candidates who will thus become eligible by meeting the revised minimum required percentile and its equivalent marks will be eligible to participate in the mop-up round of NEET PG counselling. The counselling conducted by MCC is a centralised process which is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats, Central and Deemed Universities, AFMS Institutions and ESIC. NEET PG 2019 counselling was done on the basis of merit rank of aspirants secured in the PG entrance exam. Candidates who failed to attend this process were not considered for the admission process. The counselling of NEET PG 2019 for 50% All India Quota seats was conducted in two rounds while the counselling for Central & Deemed Universities will be conducted in three rounds. NBE had released the merit list of NEET 2019 PG merit list for 50% AIQ on March 6. The scorecard of NEET PG 2019 was released on February 6, while NEET 2019 result was announced on January 31. NEET PG is a national level eligibility-cum-entrance exam which was conducted on January 6, 2019. The exam was held in computer-based mode. The result of NEET PG counselling was announced on January 31. Scorecards of NEET 2019 is available from February 6 onward.

  • All the candidates who are allotted an All India Rank will be considered eligible for the counselling process.

  • Candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for the counselling of 50% All India Quota seats.

  • Only those candidates who will register for the counselling process will be considered eligible for participation.

  • The seats available under Central Universities Internal Quota will be available for those candidates only who have completed MBBS degree from the respective Central University.

NEET PG Seat Allotment 2019 - Released

DGHS on behalf of MCC has released the final and provisional result NEET PG counselling on April 11, which can be downloaded from the link provided above. The seat allotment letter for round two of NEET PG counselling 2019 is also available above. The result released in the form of seat allotment list and individual seat allotment letter provides information about the seat allotted to the candidates in the respective round of NEET PG counselling 2019. The seat allotment letter of NEET PG counselling is a mandatory document that needs to be carried at the time of admission. The seat allotment list contains details like All India Rank, Allotted Quota, Allotted Institute, Course, Allotted Category, Candidate Category and Remarks. NEET PG seat allotment list will only include those candidates who are allotted seats in the counselling process.

NEET PG Counselling 2019 – Seat Matrix

MCC has issued a notice regarding the change in the number of seats available in postgraduate courses in various medical colleges. The seats which have been reduced and changed will be implemented with immediate effect before the commencement of round one of the counselling. Earlier, the seat matrix for the round one, displaying the total number of seats available in NEET PG 2019 counselling has been released. A separate seat matrix of 50% All India Quota, Deemed and Central Universities has been released by DGHS. NEET PG Counselling 2019 – Step-wise Procedure

Registration

Step 1 – New User Registration

Candidates need to click on the link given above to register for NEET PG counselling 2019. Submit details like the stream (Medical/Dental), NEET PG roll no., application no., candidate’s name, birth date, security pin etc and click on ‘Submit’ button. The agreement page will be displayed on the screen and aspirants will have an option to click on ‘I Agree’ or ‘I Don’t Agree’. If the candidates want to continue with the application process, then they will be required to click on ‘I Agree’ button. The login credentials will reflect on the screen. Candidates will now be asked to take a note of the login credentials and the password which should be protected with a security question.


Step 2 – Submission of Personal Details

In this step of NEET PG counselling 2019, candidates will be required to submit details like mother’s name, father’s name and address details of the candidate. Click on ‘Submit’ button. It must be noted that these details cannot be changed by the candidates afterwards, therefore, the information provided should be similar to the documents candidates will submit at the time of admission.


Step 3 – Payment

Candidates will be required to submit non-refundable registration fee and refundable tuition fee. The fees can be paid through an online medium like Credit/Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. The below table will acquaint candidates with the amount of fee that they will be required to submit-

Step 3 – Registration Slip

After the successful submission of details, the registration slip will be displayed on the screen which can be printed as it will be useful in the further admission process. To continue with the process, click on the ‘Login’ button.

Step 4 – Available Choices

The choice filling process of NEET PG counselling has started and a link for the same is available on this page. The registered aspirants must login through their NEET PG roll number, password and stream. The ‘Available Choices’ link will be enabled as and when the counselling process starts. On the left side of the screen, the available choices will be displayed on the screen. Candidates who will submit the fees for both 50% AIQ/Central Universities and Deemed Universities will be eligible to apply for both the category of seats.


Step 5 – Selecting the choices

Candidates need to click on the ‘+’ button available with each preference to select the choices. As the candidates select a particular preference, the choices will be transferred from the left-hand side of the screen to the right-hand side. After selecting choices, candidates will be asked to click on ‘Save & Continue’ button to save and continue with the process or ‘Save & Go to Home Page’ button to save the options and exit.

Candidates can move up, move down and delete the choices. The upper arrow and the down arrow will move the choice up or down respectively by one step. The delete option will delete the selected choice. Aspirants can also click on a selected choice and drag it to a particular choice interchange the choices.


Choice Locking

Step 6 – Choice Locking

It is mandatory to lock the choices for the final submission of preferences in NEET PG 2019 counselling. The choices can be modified until they are locked. If in case, candidates do not lock the choices then the filled choices will be considered final and will automatically get locked on the notified date.

Step 7 – Take a Printout

It is advisable to take a printout of the filled choices as it could be beneficial for candidates in the further NEET PG counselling process. If the candidates have not locked their choices then also they can take a printout of the choice preferences after the choice locking process is over.


NEET PG Counselling 2019 - Registration Fee and Forfeiture

The Medical Council of India (MCI) introduced a change in the NEET PG counselling matrix which is the procedure to be followed regarding the eligibility of candidates after each round of counselling. Accordingly, the fee forfeiture rule will be applicable. The candidates are required to submit the refundable and non-refundable fee while registering for the counselling process. In the first round of counselling, candidates will be given free exit meaning the refundable fees will be returned to the candidate if the seat is allotted or not allotted to the candidates and they can also participate in the next round of NEET PG 2019 counselling. After submitting their consent to participate in the second round of counselling, candidates will not be allowed to participate in any other round of counselling, if allotted a seat. The refundable tuition fee will be forfeited for such candidates if they do not accept the allotted seats and if they do then it will be adjusted with tuition fees. Candidates can view the table below added in the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 regarding the eligibility of candidates and the forfeiture of fees-


NEET PG Counselling 2019 - Documents Required

At the time of registration, candidates will not be required to upload scanned copies of the documents but they will be asked to submit details as mentioned on their admit card or application form. Therefore, it is suggested to keep a copy of the documents to submit correct details while registering. Candidates need to submit original documents at the time of admission which can be checked here-

  • NEET PG Admit Card 2019 issued by National Board of Examinations (NBE).

  • NEET PG Scorecard 2019 released by NBE.

  • MBBS 1st, 2nd and 3rd professional examinations mark sheets.

  • Internship completion certificate stating that the internship was completed by March 31, 2019.

  • Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate

  • Class 10th pass certificate/Birth certificate as a proof of date of birth.

  • Valid ID proof- PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID Passport or Aadhar Card.

  • Caste Certificate, if applicable

  • Disability Certificate, if applicable

NEET PG State Counselling 2019

The NEET PG counselling 2019 for remaining 50% State Quota seats (100% in case of Jammu and Kashmir) in government medical colleges and all the seats of self-financing and private colleges will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities. The states will be conducting the common centralised counselling for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. The states will be releasing their own counselling schedule for NEET PG 2019 state counselling. The state merit list will be prepared on the basis of NEET PG merit list 2019.


Highlights of NEET PG Counselling 2019

  • The counselling of NEET PG 2019 will be conducted in online mode and candidates will be required to register at the official website of NEET PG counselling as and when the process starts.

  • After the completion of the second round of NEET PG counselling 2019 for AIQ seats, the remaining seats will be transferred to the states and the counselling for such seats will be conducted by the state authorities.

  • MCC will also conduct a stray vacancy round for Deemed & Central Universities after the mop-up round of counselling for which ten times (of the registered candidates) of the number of vacancies will be selected to participate in the counselling process.

  • The stray vacancy round will be held by the respective Deemed and Central University.

  • DGHS will provide the facility to register for the counselling process before each round of NEET PG counselling 2019.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for NEET PG Counselling 2019

Question: Do I have to report to a particular centre in order to participate in the counselling process of NEET PG 2019?

Answer: The counselling process (registration, choice filling and choice locking) is completely online. Candidates can participate in the NEET PG counselling 2019 from any place of convenience where they have access to a good internet connection.

Question: How many choices can be submitted at the time of NEET PG counselling 2019?

Answer: Candidates can submit any number of choices as they wish. It must be ensured by the candidates that the choices submitted are in order of preference.

Question: If a candidate does not submit choices then will s/he get allotted any seat?

Answer: In order to obtain a seat, the candidates must register for the counselling process, submit preferences and save them. It is also required of candidates to lock their final choices. However, if the candidates do not lock their choices then the saved choices will be considered final. Candidates who will not register or those who will not submit any choices will not be considered at the time of NEET PG seat allotment.

Question: Does the candidate require to fill fresh choices to participate in the second round of counselling?

Answer: Yes, candidates will be required to fresh choices if,

  • they haven’t participated in the first round of NEET PG counselling 2019,

  • they have not been allotted seat in the round one of counselling, or

  • they have not reported at the allotted college in round one and have registered fresh choices for round two.

Candidates who will be allotted seat in the first round of counselling and will opt for upgradation will not be required to submit fresh choices. The higher preference will be considered in such case.


Question: If a candidate is not allotted any seat in the second round of counselling then will the seat allotted in the first round of counselling will be considered cancelled?

Answer: The seat allotted in the round one of NEET PG counselling will be retained if a seat is not allotted in the second round of counselling considering candidate has completed the admission formalities or not resigned from the earlier allotted seat.

Question: If a candidate is not allotted any seat in any of the rounds of counselling, then will the counselling fees be refunded?

Answer: Candidates will be submitting two types of fees at the time of registration- Non-Refundable Registration Fee and Refundable Tuition Fee. The non-refundable registration fee as the name signifies will not be refunded if the candidate is allotted or not allotted a seat. The refundable tuition fee will be refunded to the candidates if they are not allotted a seat in any of the rounds of counselling or they are allotted a seat in the round one of counselling but do not join the allotted college.
