About AIIMS Nursing 2025

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi conducts the BSc (H) nursing exam. Through the AIIMS nursing entrance exam, admission will be granted in AIIMS institutes in India. As per the latest update, the authority has released AIIMS BSc nursing 2025 counselling schedule. Qualified candidates can fill their preferences for round 1 AIIMS BSc nursing counselling 2025 from July 11 to 17, 2025.

The authority announced the AIIMS 2025 BSc nursing (post basic) result on June 27 at aiimsexams.ac.in. The AIIMS BSc nursing post basic exam was conducted on June 21, 2025. The result for AIIMS BSc nursing 2025 is declared in a PDF format. Qualified candidates are required to appear for an interview and personal assessment. Earlier, the authority declared the AIIMS BSc nursing (Hons) result on June 6. Applicants for AIIMS Nursing 2025 have to fill out the choices online before the deadline. The details of the online seat allocation process, rules, and procedures will be announced at the official website. Candidates must upload the documents mentioned on the provided dates or else their seat allocation will be denied.

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 exam was held on June 1. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions were asked in the AIIMS BSc nursing exam. The total duration of the exam was 120 minutes. 70 multiple-choice questions were asked. The total duration of the exam was 90 minutes (1.5 hours). AIIMS issued the AIIMS BSc nursing admit card in online mode. The AIIMS BSc nursing application form was closed on May 7, 2025. AIIMS, New Delhi conducts the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 counselling after the declaration of the result. Aspirants have to register for AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling 2025 and fill & lock in the choices of preference. Based on the preferences of choices filled, aspirants will be shortlisted for AIIMS BSc nursing 2025 admission. 

All the shortlisted aspirants will be required to provide their acceptance/refusal of seat options and have to report to the allotted college to join the institute. The order of counselling of AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 will be General/ST/SC/OBC. The AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling will be done strictly based on the combined merit list.

After allotment candidates have to exercise the following options

  • Option 1: ACCEPT allotted seat. Candidates cannot participate in further rounds.
  • Option 2: ACCEPT allotted seat and wish to participate in 2nd Round 
  • Option 3. DECLINE/REFUSE allotted seat and do not wish to participate in the further counselling process
  • Option 4. DECLINE/REFUSE allotted seat but wish to participate in the 2nd round of Seat Allocation

Who are eligible for the 2nd Round of AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Allotment?

  • The candidates who will choose option 2 or 4 after seat allotment has been announced expressing a wish to participate in the second round
  • All candidates who have not been allotted a seat in the first round

Who are not eligible for 2nd Round of allotment?

  • Candidates who fail to report to express their options after seat allotment. such candidates will be eligible for the open round of counselling. 

Note: Candidates will be allowed to change their preference of institutions and subjects in all rounds.

Final Round of Seat allotment of AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025

The final round of AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling 2025 will be conducted offline where candidates had to participate in person.

Some rules for this round are:

  • Any vacant ST seat after calling all eligible ST candidates shall be made available first to an SC category candidate and vice versa. If the seat still remains vacant, then it shall be made available to the eligible General Category candidates. 
  • In case of vacant OBC seats after calling all eligible OBC candidates, shall be made available to the eligible General category candidate. 
  •  Any change of institution/or subject even within the institution will be allowed only after depositing the penalty amount in the form of a Demand Draft.

Documents to be submitted for verification 

All the below-mentioned documents must be submitted in original along with a set of self-attested copies

  • AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 admit card
  • Matriculation/High School/Higher Secondary certificate issued by Board/ University mentioning
    date of birth of the applicant. 
  • Degree/Provisional passing certificate of the qualifying examination 
  • Detailed mark sheets of the qualifying examination 
  • Migration Certificate from the University/ Board last attended 
  • ‘No objection Certificate’ if the candidate is already employed with Central / State Government / Public Undertaking
  • Physical Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board in case of PwD candidates
  • Category Certificate in case of SC/ST or OBC candidates
  • Certificate of physical fitness from Registered Medical Practitioner

Additional Documents for B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) Applicants:

  • Candidates who have applied for B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) courses will have to submit the following documents in addition to the ones mentioned above at the time of personal assessment
  • Certificate of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery. 
  • In case of a male nurse, (if passed before the implementation of the new integrated course in 2003) - Registration as a nurse with State Nursing Council
  • Male Nurses also should have submitted a certificate in General Nursing with training in any subject out of the following for a period of 6 months:
    - Operation Theatre Techniques
    - Ophthalmic Nursing
    - Leprosy Nursing
    - TB Nursing
    - Psychiatric Nursing
    - Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing
    - Community Health Nursing
    - Cancer Nursing
    - Orthopaedic Nursing
    - The mark sheets also must be submitted
  • Certificate of Registration as a Nurse and Midwife from the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council. 

Reporting for Admission:

  • All selected candidates found medically fit will have to join the course after paying the requisite fee by the specified date else they forfeit the seat as well as the fees paid
  • Candidates must bring all the relevant certificates/documents, in original to be kept with the institute till his /her completion of the course. 
  • Candidates will have to undergo biometric verification at the time of joining

Important: Candidates who are already pursuing BSc Course or equivalent in any subject but have not completed the same shall also be considered if they report to the concerned Institute and deposit original documents along with a DD of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) as a security deposit. The Security Deposit will be refunded back within 5 days after depositing original documents.

AIIMS B.Sc (H) Nursing 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 under the 10+2 scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board of any Indian State 
  • They must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as mandatory subjects and secured a minimum aggregate mark of 55% for Gen/OBC candidates and 50% in case of SCs/STs category candidates

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
  • Candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council are eligible to apply. 
  • Candidates must have registered as RN or RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council

Male nurses, who have passed before the implementation of a new integrated course in 2003 must be registered as nurse with the State Nursing Council. They should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, training in any subject out of the following, for six months:

  • O.T. Techniques
  • Ophthalmic Nursing
  • Leprosy Nursing
  • TB Nursing
  • Psychiatric Nursing

Methodology to resolve a tie when two or more candidates get the same ranks

  • Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (or Mathematics, in the case of Para-Medical courses) in the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 exam. 
  • In case the tie is still unresolved, candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still remains unresolved, then candidates who have obtained higher marks in Physics in the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam 2025.

  • Candidates who have scored higher in the written test will be ranked higher
  • If the tie still is unresolved, candidates who are older in age will be offered admission.
