    The selection of candidates in Indian Army BSc nursing courses is based solely on their NEET exam scores. Female applicants who are unmarried, divorced, legally separated, or widowed have to register and qualify for NEET 2026 for admission to a four-year BSc Nursing course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).

    Indian Army NEET Counselling 2026 - Mandatory requirements for MNS admission

    All aspiring candidates who wish to qualify MNS exam 2026 are required to fulfil certain mandatory requirements. These Indian Army BSc Nursing mandatory requirements ensure that only the most eligible and deserving candidates are granted admission. Only those candidates who fulfil the below-mentioned MNS 2026 admission requirements are considered for admission to the Indian Army BSc Nursing course at AFMS institutions. Candidates need to keep themselves updated on the official website for any updates or changes in the MNS 2026 admission process.

    Indian Army NEET Counselling 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

    Aspirants appearing for the BSc nursing entrance exam should be aware of below below-mentioned MNS 2026 eligibility criteria.

    • Only female candidates who are unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/widowed without encumbrances can apply for the Indian Army Nursing Counselling 2026.

    • Applicants must be citizens of India.

    • One must have been born between October 1, 1999 and September 30, 2008.

    • One must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent exam in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English as regular students.

    • MNS aspirants have to pass their class 12 exam with not less than 50% aggregate marks, from a Statutory/Recognized Board/University/Examining Body.

    Indian Army NEET Counselling 2026 - Physical Requirements

    Candidates willing to appear for the MNS 2026 have to fulfil certain physical eligibility requirements, which can be checked below.

    • The minimum height required for entry into the Armed Forces for female candidates is 152 cm.

    • However, candidates from Hill and Northeastern States will be accepted with a minimum height of 147 cm.

    NOTE: It should be noted that the medical fitness of the candidate will be decided as per the medical fitness standards and criteria prescribed for the grant of Commission in the Armed Forces, as amended from time to time.

    Indian Army NEET Counselling 2026 - How to apply?

    The Indian Army has made a major change in the admission process for the Indian Army BSc Nursing 2026 by scrapping its entrance exam. The selection of candidates will now be solely based on their performance in the NEET UG exam.

    The Directorate General of Medical Services (DGMS) commences the online application process for Indian Army BSc Nursing. The application process for MNS 2026 is conducted in online mode, and candidates can follow the steps given below to fill the Indian Army Nursing 2026 application form:

    • Visit the official website of the Indian Army, joinindianarmy.nic.in, and register with the required details.

    • Fill in the application form by providing personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information.

    • Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the specified size and format.

    • Pay the MNS 2026 application processing fee of Rs. 200/- (except for SC/ST candidates) through the online payment gateway.

    • Take a printout of the duly filled application form and payment confirmation page for future reference.

    • On successful submission of the application, candidates will receive a provisional registration number (reference number) on their registered email ID and phone number.

    • Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for updates and the notification to upload their NEET 2026 scores when notified.

    Indian Army NEET Counselling 2026 - Selection Process

    The Indian Army BSc Nursing admission process for 2026 involves the following selection process:

    Short listing through NEET (UG) score

    Candidates who have registered and applied on the website joinindianarmy.nic.in and have qualified NEET 2026 will be shortlisted based on their NEET scores. The registration numbers of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the website.

    The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Test of General Intelligence & General English (TOGIGE), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview, and Medical examination at a designated venue. The MNS admit cards 2026 can be downloaded from the website.

    Verification of Documents

    All shortlisted candidates for Indian Army BSc nursing admission will be required to produce original documents as listed in the admit card at the time of the MNS interview for verification. It is the responsibility of the candidate to possess all original documents at the time of the interview. Non-possession of documents as per eligibility criteria or any misrepresentation of information will lead to disqualification from the selection process.

    Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE)

    The TOGIGE will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of two marks each, with a negative marking of 0.5 for each incorrect answer. Candidates will have to answer 40 questions in 30 minutes.

    Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)

    The PAT is a qualifying examination, and its score will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.

    Interview

    The candidates will be interviewed by a Board of Officers at a designated venue.

    Medical Examination

    All shortlisted candidates will undergo a Special Medical Board (SMB) at a designated venue. The candidates will be informed about their medical status, including the procedure for requesting an Appeal Medical Board, by the President Special Medical Board.
