Hello,

With 172.5 cutoff for paramedical courses and 480 marks in your 12th standard, it would be based on many factors who get a seat at Government Medical College in Thiruvannamalai.

Category Quota: Your quota category (OC, BC, SC, etc.) plays a large role as different quotas have different kinds of cut-off ranges.

Cutoff for Previous Year : Compare your score with the cutoffs of previous years for paramedical courses in Thiruvannamalai Government Medical College. This way, if your score is above or close to the cutoff for your category, then your chances are bright.

Competition: The overall competition and the number of applicants with cutoffs similar to or higher than yours will determine your prospects.

For an authentic feel, better to study the process or consult the admission office regarding the actual cut-off trends of paramedical courses.

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for Round 2 even if you have been allotted a seat in Round 1, but the process varies depending on the specific guidelines of the counseling authority.

Typically, if you're not satisfied with your Round 1 allotment, you can choose to upgrade or participate in Round 2 by opting for the "float" or "upgrade" option.

However, if you don't want the Round 1 seat, you may need to surrender it before participating in Round 2. Make sure to check the detailed instructions provided by the counseling authority to understand the rules.

Hope it helps !

Hello Seema,

Direct admission without NEET is not possible for government medical courses like MBBS, BDS , and other professional medical degrees. NEET is mandatory for both government and private medical college admissions in these fields.

However, for paramedical courses like B.Sc. Nursing , BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) , or courses in healthcare management , some colleges may offer direct admission without NEET.

In private medical universities, there are management quota seats, but even these often require NEET scores. So, for professional medical degrees, NEET is essential, while for paramedical and allied health courses, you might find options without NEET.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello there,

Thank you for your inquiry about admission timing and NEET requirements. Let me provide you with some helpful information.

Regarding the timing of admissions, it's important to note that the exact dates can vary depending on the specific course and institution. However, generally speaking, most medical college admissions in India typically occur between July and September, following the declaration of NEET results.

As for the NEET requirement, yes, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is mandatory for admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) programs in India. This applies to all medical colleges across the country, including government, private, and deemed universities.

The NEET exam is usually conducted in May, with results announced in June or July. After that, the counseling and admission process begins. This timeline aligns with the typical July-September admission window I mentioned earlier.

It's crucial to understand that you cannot secure admission to MBBS or BDS courses without qualifying in NEET, regardless of the month. There are no direct admissions or alternative routes for these programs.

However, if you're considering other health science courses like B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), the admission processes and timelines might differ. These courses often have separate entrance exams or admission criteria.

For the most up-to-date and accurate information about specific courses, institutions, or admission processes, I'd recommend checking our website. We regularly update it with the latest details about various medical and allied health programs, their admission procedures, and important dates.

Is there a particular medical or health science field you're interested in? I'd be happy to provide more specific information if you have any other questions.

With a NEET score of 188, your chances of getting admission to a B.Pharm program this year may vary depending on several factors, such as the specific college’s cutoff, state quotas, and the total number of applicants. B.Pharm programs typically have different admission criteria compared to MBBS or BDS courses, as they focus more on pharmacy-related studies.

In many states, B.Pharm admissions are conducted through separate entrance exams or merit lists based on 12th-grade marks. However, some colleges might consider NEET scores for admission to pharmacy courses, particularly private institutions or deemed universities.

To increase your chances of getting into a B.Pharm program, consider the following steps:

1. **Research Colleges**: Look for colleges that accept NEET scores for B.Pharm admissions and check their previous year’s cutoff scores. This will give you a clearer idea of your chances.

2. **Explore Management Quota Seats**: Some private colleges offer management quota seats, which may have a higher cutoff but could still be an option.

3. **Apply to Multiple Colleges**: Don’t limit yourself to just a few institutions. Apply to various colleges to maximize your chances of securing a seat.

Overall, while it may be challenging with a score of 188, exploring all available options can enhance your chances of admission to a B.Pharm program.

Hello Akshay,

With a score of 360, your chances of securing a seat in the mop-up round for BDS in private dental colleges appear feasible, particularly in states like Karnataka and Maharashtra, where the cutoffs are lower. While you may not secure a government college seat, focusing on private colleges with fees around 1 lakh is a good strategy.

Here are some private dental colleges where you might have a chance of getting a BDS seat for approximately 1 lakh per year:

  1. KLE University, Belgaum, Karnataka:

    • Fee: Approximately 1.5 lakhs per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: Around 320-350.

  2. Yenepoya University, Mangalore:

    • Fee: Approximately 1.2-1.5 lakhs per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: About 300-350.

  3. Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Pune:

    • Fee: Roughly 1.2-1.5 lakhs per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: Approximately 350-370.

  4. Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai:

    • Fee: Approximately 1.5 lakhs per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: Around 350.

  5. Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore:

    • Fee: About 1.5-2 lakhs per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: Generally above 370, but some seats might be available in mop-up round.

  6. Chettinad Dental College, Tamil Nadu:

    • Fee: Approximately 1 lakh per year.

    • Previous Year Cutoff: Around 320-350.

Hope it helps !
