Understanding the NEET physical chemistry 2026 chapter-wise analysis helps students to prepare a balanced timetable for completing high-scoring chapters on priority.
With a clear knowledge of physical chemistry chapters, students can practice more problems from the high-scoring topics, which improves accuracy and speed in the exam.
The NEET syllabus includes three subjects, which are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students preparing for this exam often find the Chemistry subject difficult, but it is one of the most scoring sections that can completely change a student's overall rank. Before starting the preparation, it is important to have a thorough understanding of the NEET Chemistry syllabus 2026. Physical Chemistry includes 9 chapters , which are given below:
From Physical Chemistry, the NEET exam includes several questions that test the numerical and conceptual clarity of the students. By analysing the NEET 2026 physical chemistry chapter-wise weightage of both Class 11 and Class 12, students can give priority to the NEET high-weightage chapters and can make a well-structured, balanced timetable for NEET 2026 preparation.

Doing the NEET preparation with the right NEET Best Study material is very important to achieve success. Physical Chemistry is an important and scoring section that needs to be prepared effectively. Studying the NCERT books, along with some other best books for NEET, gives a complete understanding to solve the questions of Physical Chemistry during the exam. Provided below are some of the books that students can refer to study this section:
NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII
Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern
Practice book by N Awasthi
Wiley's Physical Chemistry for NEET by Vipul Mehta
To clear the NEET exam, students should follow the tips to crack NEET in the First Attempt, which include various smart study methods. Chemistry is one of the scoring subjects that can change the overall scores of the student, and out of the three sections of chemistry, Physical Chemistry requires regular practice and attention, as it includes various calculations. Understanding the NEET Physical Chemistry chapter-wise distribution 2026, along with some of the key NEET Preparation tips, can help the aspirants.
Master NCERT first: To give NEET preparation a best start, it is very important to thoroughly read the NCERT books for NEET from classes 11 and 12. A majority of the questions in the exam come from the NCERT books, so having a strong command on NCERT concepts is most important.
Solve Numerical-based problems: Physical chemistry involves a lot of calculations and equations. So, consistent practice of numerical problems is required, which increases the accuracy of the aspirant and allows them to solve the questions within the limited time.
Prepare handy notes and formula charts: As Physical chemistry involves a lot of formulas, the best preparation tip is to prepare a sheet of important chemistry formulas for NEET and notes that help students in doing a quick revision before the exam.
Practice topic-wise MCQs: After completing the syllabus, students should solve MCQs from each chapter to understand which type of questions come from which chapter and make their preparation accordingly.
Attempt mock tests: Regular mock tests and NEET Chemistry Question papers should be solved, which gives a clear understanding of how questions come in the exam and their difficulty level. The maximum questions of Physical Chemistry should be practised from these papers.
“Basic Concepts of Chemistry” is often considered as one of the easiest chapters from the section of Physical Chemistry. It is because most questions are formula-based and can be solved quickly. However, this chapter is easy, but very important as it builds a strong foundation for other concepts like the mole concept and chemical calculations.
Yes, Physical Chemistry does require math, but only at a basic level, as from this section, numerical problems appear in the NEET exam. Concepts like the mole concept, thermodynamics, and chemical kinetics involve mathematical questions. However, students don’t need the knowledge of advanced mathematics, but a clear understanding of Class 10 maths will be enough to solve the questions.

Hi dear candidate,
Although NEET and paramedical courses (nursing, lab tech etc.) share same core subjects of PCB but the syllabus for NEET is NOT identical with that of paramedical exams as they require extra sections of GK and aptitude that is beyond NEET.

Hello Yashpal
Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.
Hope it helps you, and if you face any other query, you can raise your question directly. We are here to assist you with the best.
