Hello Kavya,

Here is an overview of your problem, and its solution :-

  1. Filling NEET Form

    • Eligibility : NEET requires you to have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized board. Your CBSE 12th result is sufficient.
    • Details to Fill : Use your CBSE 12th details for NEET application. Do not mention your UP Board private attempt at math if you're dropping it.
  2. Filling JEE Form

    • Eligibility : JEE requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th. If you're dropping the UP Board Math exam, you won't meet this criterion, and applying for JEE won't be valid.
  3. Impact of Dropping UP Board Math

    • It won't affect your CBSE 12th result or eligibility for NEET because they're independent. Dropping the math exam simply means you won't qualify for math-related entrances like JEE.
  4. Simplify Your Decision

    • Focus on NEET if you're inclined towards medicine or biology-related fields.
    • Avoid confusion by leaving the UP Board math attempt officially incomplete; it won't interfere with your CBSE credentials.

Conclusion : Drop the math attempt without worry and focus on NEET preparation using your CBSE bio stream qualifications.
