Get UpdatesThe Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, ABVMU Lucknow conducts the state-level ABVMU BSc Nursing common entrance exam, known as CNET for its 4-year B.Sc Nursing program. The entrance is conducted for admissions to 11610 B.Sc nursing seats in nursing colleges affiliated to ABVMU Lucknow , SGPGIMS Lucknow , KGMU Lucknow , RMLIMS Lucknow , UPUMS Saifai and all government and private deemed universities of Uttar Pradesh.
ABVMU has released CNET 2024 application form 2024. Candidates can fill their application forms from April 25 to May 29, 2024. The CNET 2024 exam date is June 14. Along with the application form, the authority has released the information brochure. The aspirants will have to fill out the CNET 2024 application form through the official website abvmuup.edu.in. The CNET admit card will be released on June 5 in online mode. No application form or admit card of ABVMU BSc Nursing is received or released by post or any other means.
The CNET 2024 exam will only be conducted in the English language in pen and paper mode in an OMR sheet and will consist of 200 MCQs and will be of 200 marks. As per the CNET 2024 exam pattern duration will be 3 hours and 20 minutes and there will be no negative marking. After the successful completion of the exam, the CNET 2024 result will be declared by the conducting authority. The qualified students will be invited for the two rounds of CNET 2024 counselling followed by a mop-up round.

Reservation in the ABVMU BSc nursing program is given for the sanctioned seats by the Indian Nursing Council as per the state government reservation policy. A 5% horizontal reservation is given to the physically handicapped candidates and an EWS quota of 10% may be admissible as per the directives of the UP government.

The steps to fill up the application form of CNET 2024 are as follows:
Photo upload guidelines: The uploaded photograph should be in a white background and in JPG format only. The size should be between 50 - 200 kb with a dimension of 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm.
Signature guidelines: The signature should be in white background in JPG format only and the size should be between 50 - 200 Kb.
Note : There is no correction window available and hence the students are advised to fill out the application form carefully. After the successful submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email ID.

The successfully registered students will be able to download the CNET exam 2024 admit card from the official website by logging in with their registration ID and date of birth. Carrying the CNET 2024 hall tickets at the exam centre is mandatory to be allowed to sit for the test.
How to download the CNET 2024 admit card?
Open the official website of ABVMU and click on the link provided for downloading the admit card.
Enter the registration ID and date of birth and log in.
Once the CNET exam 2024 admit card is displayed, cross-check it and download the same.
Take a coloured printout of the admit card once all the details have been cross-checked.
The result of CNET 2024 will be released in the scorecard form. Using the scores of CNET 2024, a combined merit list and category-wise merit list will be drawn.
How to check the CNET 2024 result?
Go to the official website of the conducting body, abvmuup.edu.in.
Click on the link provided for the result under the “NOTICE” section on the official website.
Log in by entering the registration ID and date of birth received while filling up the CNET 2024 application form.
After successful login, the CNET result will be displayed in the form of a scorecard.
Take a printout of the scorecard of CNET 2024 for future reference.
Mode of Counselling: Online
After the CNET result declaration, the conducting body will release the first merit list of the aspirants qualified in the test with common merit rank. The candidates will have to pay Rs.500 as the counselling registration fee and Rs.5000 (refundable if not allotted a seat) as the counselling security fee through the online mode. Students failing to do so will not be considered in the counselling process.
The candidate will have to pay a seat confirmation fee of Rs 40,000 through online or a bank challan. This amount will be adjusted against the tuition fee, once the counselling process is over.
Steps for CNET 2024 counseling and seat allocation
Candidates will have to register for the CNET 2024 counselling by payment of Rs.500 as the counselling registration fee and Rs.5000 as the security fee.
The admission cell will allot the seats from the candidate’s preferred institute based on the common merit rank and respective category rank.
Check the allotted seat on the website, and lock/confirm the allocation by paying Rs 40,000, it is not possible to change the choice in particular counselling after locking the seat after completion of payment.
Seats will be allotted as per the rank in the 1st round of counselling. A candidate who is allotted a seat shall be admitted provisionally, he/she should report to the selected institute for document verification. Without a valid document or insufficient document or mismatch the seat will be cancelled.
Once documents are verified, he/she shall be offered provisional admission & must pay the balance prescribed fee online within the stipulated period. If the candidate is unwilling or fails to pay the balance admission fee within a specified period as mentioned by the authority, seats will be marked as Vacant & Seat booking fee will be forfeited.
After the payment of the admission fee, the candidate will be granted admission.
A total of 2 rounds of counselling will be conducted to fill up the seats and will be followed by an online/offline on-campus mop-up round. After the completion of round 1 of the counselling, the candidate will be eligible for seat upgrade/reshuffle in round 2 counselling. If any candidate reshuffles their existing seat and gets a new upgraded seat in round 2, his/her round 1 allotted seat will be automatically cancelled.
