Maharashtra AYUSH Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling process of Maharashtra AYUSH 2026 must fulfill the following eligibility guideline set by the authority.

Eligibility for Nationality

  • Students must be Indian nationals.

  • Students must be registered with the State CET cell, Mumbai, through an online application on the website of State CET Cell.

  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates will be eligible for Government / Corporation / Government Aided / Private unaided colleges. Such candidates must obtain the OCI status and must have passed 10th & 12th from the State of Maharashtra and should be domiciled in Maharashtra or staying in a state of Maharashtra for a minimum period of 10 years

Eligibility for Institutional Quota

  • Any eligible candidates on All India basis can be admitted including Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), as well as outside Maharashtra candidates (OMS) who had appeared for NEET 2026 and declared eligible for admission to BAMS, BHMS and BUMS Courses respectively, following inter-se-merit amongst candidates who apply for institutional quota seats.

AYUSH NEET counselling 2026 eligibility for Domicile

  • A candidate must be born on or before December 31, 2008, to be eligible for AYUSH NEET counselling 2026.

  • The Birth certificate indicating the name of the candidate and the Secondary School Certificate i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or the School Leaving Certificate endorsing the date of birth will constitute valid proof.

  • Students must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Document Verification

  • Aspirants must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from an institution situated in the state of Maharashtra

Exemption: A candidate who has passed SSC or equivalent examination in 2017 or prior to that, from an institute outside the State of Maharashtra is also eligible for AYUSH NEET 2026 admissions, provided he has passed HSC or qualifying examination from an institute in the State of Maharashtra and also possess Domicile Certificate issued by the authority,

Maharashtra AYUSH NEET Counselling 2026: Step By Step Process

A step by step process on how to apply for AYUSH counselling with NEET scores is mentioned below.

Step 1- Maharashtra AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration:

  • Visit the official website mahacet.org and click on the application link.

  • Fill in the required information in AYUSH NEET counselling application form along with the active mobile number and email address.

  • An OTP on the registered mobile number & email address will be sent for facilitating registration for NEET UG 2026.

  • Fill in all the entries in the AYUSH NEET 2026 application form.

Step 2- Payment of the registration fee

After submission of the AYUSH NEET counselling form 2026, pay a non-refundable fee and take a printout. The category-wise fee is mentioned in the table below.

Step 3- Logging in and uploading the documents

After the payment of the Maharashtra AYUSH counselling form 2026, students will be required to upload the documents. The list of documents required for AYUSH counselling is as follows.

  • Copy of NEET UG admit card

  • Any Photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License, PAN Card, Passport)

  • Copy of NEET result scorecard

  • Nationality Certificate

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Medical fitness certificate

  • Aadhar Card.

Document Supporting Religious Minority Status of the Candidate

  • School leaving certificate/ Certificate from a Religious place and Affidavit stating that they belong to Jain / Muslim / Christian Minority,

  • School leaving certificate and Affidavit stating that Candidate belongs to Gujarati/Sindhi Minority

Applicant belongs to Hindi Linguistic Minority

School Leaving Certificate and Affidavit stating that the candidate's mother tongue is Hindi. In case there is no entry of mother tongue on the School Leaving Certificate, he/she should bring the Certificate of Head Master / Principal of that School / Junior College certifying that his/her mother tongue is Hindi.

Step 4- Choice filling and locking

After filling out the registration form, the authority will open the choice filling window for Maharashtra AYUSH NEET counselling. During filling out the course and college codes, students must also enter a four-digit number with a specific suffix five boxes. It must be noted that aspirants can choose a minimum of one to as many colleges as they want.

Choices filled for the respective round(s) will not be carried forward for any subsequent round(s) except choice(s) filled for the online stray vacancy round, which will be carried forward for subsequent online Stray Vacancy round(s) if any.

Maharashtra AYUSH Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment & Reporting

After the Maharashtra AYUSH registration and choice-filling process, the authority will release the seat allotment list. The Maharashtra AYUSH NEET seat allotment will be released separately for each round. The allotment list will mention the candidate's name, roll number and college allotted to them.

A list of selected candidates will also be sent to all concerned colleges. The candidate will have to report at the allotted college with his/her original documents for physical verification and admission. The candidate should report personally (proxy not allowed) to the respective allotted college; they should pay the requisite fee and submit all original documents at the respective allotted college.
