The Atal Bihari Vajpayee University of Medical Sciences (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh, will be conducting the CNET counselling 2026 for all the participating colleges. The UP CNET 2026 counselling is conducted in three rounds - Round 1, Round 2, and a mop-up round. If the seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, a stray round is also conducted. Candidates who qualify for the CNET exam 2026 are eligible to sit for the counselling rounds.

The students are given the colleges as per their preference based on the merit list. Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority and must fulfil the minimum qualification set by the Indian Nursing Council. Through CNET 2026 counselling, seats are offered at all government and private nursing colleges affiliated to ABVMU Lucknow, SGPGIMS Lucknow, KGMU Lucknow, RMLIMS Lucknow, UPUMS Saifai and LLRM, Meerut. A reservation is given as per the state government's reservation policy for a specific number of seats set by the Indian Nursing Council. A 5% horizontal reservation is given to the PwD candidates.

The eligibility for CNET counselling 2026 can be checked from the points below.
The minimum and maximum age of the aspirant should be 17 and 35 years, respectively, as on 31st December, 2026.
The student must have passed the 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the core subjects with an aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks. (5% relaxation will be granted to the reserved category students)
English should be a mandatory subject at the 10 + 2 standard for admission to the B.Sc nursing program.
The selection of candidates is subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate is permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University.
Minimum Qualifying marks for CNET 2026 exam are 50 percentile for unreserved (UR)/EWS category, 45 percentile for PwD (General and EWS) and 40 percentile for SC/ST and OBC Category.

ABVMU B.Sc nursing counselling is conducted in three rounds - round 1, round 2 and a mop-up round. If any seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, a stray round is conducted. The counselling is done in online mode only.
Here is a step-by-step guide for CNET counselling 2026 -
Register for the counselling of CNET 2026 by entering the registration ID (same as the application form) and password on the official website abvmuup.edu.in
Upon logging in, all the personal details such as candidate's name, father’s name, mother’s name, DOB, category and address are automatically pre-filled as submitted during the CNET 2026 registration.
Upload the marksheets of class 10 and 12 and update the domicile status of Uttar Pradesh state, minority status and upload the certificates for domicile status (if applicable), minority status (if applicable), category certificate (if applicable)
Deposit the fee of 500/- as the counselling registration fee online and INR 5000/- as the counselling security fee. Both fees are deposited online through a single payment of Rs.5,500.
Select as many colleges as possible listed on the counselling process of CNET 2026 as per your preference within the time and date specified in the schedule.
Take a printout of the choices made in the counselling portal of CNET 2026 for future reference.
Note: All the candidates who are allocated seats in round 1 are required to log in to the portal and choose any one of the following options within date and time specified in the schedule -
Option 1- Accept allotted seat and do not wish to participate in round 2 of counselling (freeze)
Option 2- Accept allotted seat and wants to upgrade and participate in round 2 of counselling (float)
Option 3- Decline allotted seat and wants to participate in round 2 of counselling (decline).
All the candidates who are allocated seats and exercised options 1 and 2 are mandatorily required to deposit a seat confirmation fee of Rs.40,000 to ABVMU UP through online/challan transfer mode. This amount is transferred to the allotted college and adjusted against the tuition fee after completion of the all rounds counselling process.
After depositing the seat confirmation fee, report in person to the allocated college for the admission process within the date and time specified in the schedule. The candidates are required to carry the original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of documents.
On reporting to the allotted college, pay the admission fee of Rs.2,000 in the college, which is adjusted against the total fee. at the time of reporting to the allotted college.
The college verifies all the documents and update the same through the college portal. If all eligibility criteria are fulfilled and verified, a duly signed provisional admission letter is provided to the candidate by the college.
