About: Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College (SDD HDC), Panchkula was established in the year 2004. SDD HDC has been accredited by the Govt. of India and Dental Council. The courses offered by SDD HDC are BDS and 9 MDS specialities. Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College admissions will be done by adhering to the directions of the Government of India, the Dental Council of India and policies laid down by the Govt. of Haryana and based on the merit of NEET.

Q. Tell us something about yourself.

Ans: I am Vidushi Verma, from Karnal. I have completed my Higher Secondary Studies at Karnal. I have done my undergraduate degree from this college i.e. “ Swami Devi Dyal Hospital & Dental College”. Now I am doing my 1 year compulsory internship at SDDHDC.

Q. How did you come to choose Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College and what factors were instrumental in your choice?

Ans: I have chosen this college, based on my counseling (NEET UG) results. But after telling some known people and asking about their opinion about this college, they all said that it is a very impressive college as all the faculty members and teaching, and non-teaching staff are very humble and cooperative. And also provides many opportunities for the future by guiding and organising different seminars.

Q. What were the salient features of your admission process at Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College that struck you as unique?

Ans: As with all the other colleges under Rohtak PGI, for taking admission to our college is by qualifying NEET- UG and then taking part in counselling. But after counselling many other formalities are to be completed, which were to be told by the college in which you are taking admission. The quality which struck me as unique is the patience level and the way of telling all the necessary information for admission to college, which made it very easy to complete all the procedures.

Q. What is your take on the initial days at Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College considering that is the time to build contacts and understand the processes? Could you give details on the support given by SDD HDC?

Ans: My initial days in the college hostel were quite challenging as it was my first time this for from home. However, the hostel staff and seniors in the hostel all were very friendly and supportive. They all tried their best so that all the freshers in the hostel did not feel low. And as well as teachers in college were also very supportive so that it would be easier for the students to adapt to the new environment. The entire college campus was free from ragging.

Q. Now that you are a part of Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College, what in your opinion are stand-apart features of SDD HDC that you think are really assets to building a student’s career and future?

Ans: This college can be an asset to building a student’s career and future, as all the staff is very friendly and can be supportive in providing all the help required by the student. And college also organises different seminars which are very supportive for students. As it gives clarity and clears almost the doubt of the students. Which can provide letter opportunities in future. These seminars help students to have a better vision about what to opt for in future that can be beneficial to their careers.

Q. In a nutshell, could you sum up your experiences at Swami Devi Dyal Hospital and Dental College?

Ans: My experience in SDDGPI is very remarkable. As this said, college acts as the bridge between student and adult lives. The most fun memories of college are in the “ college canteen”. As it is the place where we almost or most of the time hang out with our friends. The infrastructure of SDDGPI is also very marvellous as the college is surrounded by trees which can be very calming after a hectic day at college. The staff is also very helpful towards students as help students in every way possible. All the staff members try their best to be available and helpful towards all students. So, overall my college life is very memorable and essential in person’s life.
