The National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the FMGE paper pattern for foreign national candidates who want to practice medicine in India. The FMGE exam pattern 2025 contains details regarding the number and type of questions, mode of the exam, duration and other important details. As per the existing FMGE exam pattern 2025 by NBE, the exam consists of one paper, comprising 300 multiple-choice questions. The FMGE question pattern has 4 responses for each question in the English language only. Candidates are required to select the 1 correct answer out of the 4 response options provided as per the FMGE paper pattern.

According to the FMGE exam pattern 2025, two sections are asked in the exam - Part A and B. FMGE exam timing gives a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete each part. Also, a scheduled break is given between the two parts. As per the FMGE marks distribution, for every correct answer, one mark is given, with no negative marking. To pass the FMGE exam, candidates need to secure at least 150 marks out of 300. MBBS graduates must be aware of the FMGE 2025 exam pattern to prepare well for the examination. The FMGE exam total marks are 300. As per the FMGE exam pattern 2025, 300 questions are asked in the exam. The FMGE marks distribution has set +1 marks for each correct answer. This makes FMGE exam marks as 300. Out of 300 FMGE total marks, candidates need to obtain 150 marks to qualify for the exam. The FMGE qualifying marks 2025 are 150 for all candidates, irrespective of their category.
The Medical Council of India (MCI) issues the FMGE syllabus 2025 with the approval of the Government of India. NBE is responsible for conducting the FMGE mock test. The primary objective of conducting the demo test of FMGE 2025 is to assist the medical graduates with the body/structure of the exam. FMGE practice test 2025 by NBE is available for medical graduates for free. The registered medical graduates must pay attention to the screen and navigation while taking the practice test of FMGE 2025 as this test is important to understand the structure of the examination.
All medical graduates who have completed their MBBS from a foreign medical institute must appear for FMGE in order to get enrolled in the national or state register to do their further medicine practice in India.
