NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Medical graduates who are seeking admission to postgraduate medical courses are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2019. National Board of Examinations (NBE) has set these NEET PG 2019 eligibility criteria. It is important for aspirants to go through the NEET PG eligibility criteria 2019 before filling the application form. NEET PG eligibility 2019 will specify the age, educational qualifications, nationality, domicile and other mandatory requirements which must be met by all aspirants. If any candidates will not meet the NEET PG eligibility conditions, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the postgraduate entrance examination. NEET PG is a single window online entrance examination which was conducted on January 6, 2019, for admission to postgraduate medical courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma) across all government, private and other deemed medical universities and colleges in India.

 

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2019

Check the basic eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2019 of age, domicile, certificate and other details below:

  • MBBS degree – As per the NEET PG 2019 eligibility criteria, aspirants must possess MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized as per the provisions under Indian Medical Council 1956

  • Registration Certificate – Candidates must possess the permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC). As mentioned in the NEET PG eligibility conditions 2019, candidates must carry the MCI/SMC registration certificate at the NEET PG exam centre on the day of examination

  • Internship – In accordance with NEET PG eligibility criteria 2019, applicants should have completed or likely to complete 12 months mandatory rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2019

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2019 for 50% All India Quota seats

As per the eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2019, candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are eligible for 50% All India Quota seats. These states started participating in 50% AIQ scheme.

While candidates belonging from Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to participate for NEET PG 50% All India Quota seats. However, students who were nominated by the Government of India under central pool seats for MBBS course in medical colleges in J&K are considered eligible for admission to All India 15% Quota seats, as per the guidelines in NEET PG eligibility criteria. Such aspirants must submit an affidavit declaring that they were nominated by the Government of India for MBBS seats in the state of J&K. The filled in affidavit must be sent to the following address along with the printout of acknowledgement of NEET PG application form 2019 latest by November 30, 2018.

 NEET PG 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates

  • Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have completed their Primary Medical Education from medical colleges outside India, should have qualified in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by NBE

  • They should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before March 31, 2019

  • The medical graduates will be required to carry the FMGE 2019 pass certificate issued by NBE on the testing day along with NEET PG 2019 admit card

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Foreign Nationals

  • As per the new eligibility conditions of NEET PG, it is not mandatory for foreign nationals to possess the provisional MCI registration certificate at the time of NEET PG examination.

  • The foreign nationals can write the exams without MCI registration certificate.

  • The temporary registration will be issued with a condition that such aspirants must be duly registered with the competent registering authority of their own country.

Who are not eligible for NEET PG 2019?

  • Any candidate found in violation of NEET PG eligibility criteria 2019 will not be allowed to appear for the national level postgraduate entrance examination. While, if any ineligible candidate successfully appears for NEET PG, his/her candidature will be cancelled

  • As mentioned above in the basic eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2019, candidates must complete their rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2019. Any candidate who is not likely to complete the internship within the stipulated time period will not be considered eligible for NEET PG

  • Aspirants who will not be able to possess the MCI/SMC registration certificate will be ineligible as per the NEET PG eligibility criteria

NEET PG 2019 was conducted on January 6. NEET PG application form 2019 was released on November 22, 2018, in online mode. The exam was conducted in a computer-based mode with 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The time allotted to complete NEET PG was 3 hours 30 minutes.
