NEET MDS Cut off 2021 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the cutoff of NEET MDS 2021 along with the NEET MDS result today on December 31, 2020. The link to check NEET MDS cutoff 2021 percentile and scores has been provided on this page. NBE NEET MDS cut off is the minimum percentile to be secured to pass the NEET MDS exam. NEET cut off 2021 has been released for all categories - General, EWS, SC, ST, OBC and PH. NEET MDS qualifying percentile for general category is 50th percentile, while, for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40th percentile. The equivalent scores to the NEET MDS cutoff 2021 for the general category is 259, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 227. Aspirants from general PWD category have to secure the NEET MDS cut off marks of 243 for 45th percentile. Dental aspirants have been shortlisted on the basis of NEET MDS 2021 cut off for admission to Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS). NBE conducted NEET MDS 2021 exam on December 16, 2020. Last year, the NEET MDS cutoff scores for general/EWS category was 286, while for SC/ST/OBC, it was 250. Last year, a total of 20,000 candidates took the test, while, as many as 12,128 aspirants secured NEET MDS cut off to qualify.

NEET MDS cutoff 2021 has been calculated on the basis of marking scheme. Based on NEET MDS cutoff scores 2021, the merit list will be prepared. The merit list based on NEET MDS cutoff will be used for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota, deemed/central universities, ESIC and private institutes. In case if a number of candidates unable to secure NEET MDS 2021 cutoff, the Dental Council of India consulting Government of India will reduce NEET MDS cut off. Securing the cutoff of NEET MDS 2021 does not guarantee admission to postgraduate dental courses.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET MDS counselling 2021 for admission to AIQ, deemed and central universities and ESIC on the basis of choices filled, seats available, NEET MDS 2021 cutoff, reservation criteria and others. Revision of NEET MDS Cut off 2021
In order to fill the sufficient number of vacant seats, the Central Government in consultation with the Dental Council of India will lower the NEET MDS cutoff percentile and corresponding marks. The reduced NEET MDS 2021 cut off percentile and scores will be announced, if available. Last year the, cutoff of NEET MDS was reduced by 18.935 percentile for each category, while the corresponding marks for each category had reduced by 66 marks. NEET MDS cut off for the year 2019, the authority had lowered the cutoff percentile due to the number of candidates in the respective categories were three times less than the number of seats left vacant. NEET MDS cutoff for general category was lowered to 25.835th percentile with the marks equals to 172. While the qualifying percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates were lower to 15.835th with corresponding marks of 140. Factors determining NEET MDS 2021 Cut off
The cut-off percentile will be derived based on the official marking scheme which mentions that four (4) marks will be awarded for every correct response, while one (1) mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt and no marks for unanswered questions. NEET MDS 2021 Cutoff – Percentile Vs Marks
Aspirants who secure equal to or more than the qualifying percentile will be considered eligible for admission to MDS courses. To qualify the NEET MDS 2021 exam, candidates belonging to general category must secure at least 50th percentile, while 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC aspirants. Last year, the equivalent scores to the NEET MDS cutoff for the general category was 286, while for SC/ST/OBC, it was 250. Aspirants from general PWD category were supposed to secure the cutoff marks of 268 for 45th percentile.

A percentile rank shows the performance of the candidate in comparison to others, while a percentage rank shows how well a candidate has performed. Percentile ranks are commonly used to clarify the interpretation of marks on the standardised tests, whereas, the percentage of marks is simply calculated based on the marks obtained out of the total marks. Types of NEET MDS Cut off 2021
The cutoff of NEET MDS 2021 will be considered for admission to following postgraduate dental courses:
- 50% All India Quota seats (excluding Jammu & Kashmir)
- 50% State Quota seats (including Jammu & Kashmir)

In order to be eligible to participate for NEET MDS counselling for 50% All India Quota seats, aspirants need to secure the minimum qualifying percentile declared by NBE. Only those candidates who will secure the minimum cutoff scores for 50% AIQ seats will be included in the merit list.
For the year 2020, the 50% All India Quota cut off percentile for each category was same of qualifying NEET MDS cut off. The previous year cut off for 50% AIQ is mentioned below in the table.

NEET MDS 2021 Cut off – Tie Breaking Procedure
In case the marks of two or more candidates will be equal, then the authority will use the following inter-se merit process to determine the merit position:
- Number of correct responses: Aspirants with more number of correct responses in the test will be placed at higher rank
- Date of birth: If the first tie-breaker will fail, then the age of candidates will be considered. Students older in age will be allotted better rank in the merit list

The cut off rank for admission signifies the merit rank at which admission to MDS courses closed for UR, SC, ST, and OBC. As per previous year data, the last rank of the general category was 270 for admission to MDS course under 50% All India Quota seats, while the NEET MDS cut off rank 2017 for UR category was 290. NEET MDS Merit List 2021
NBE will prepare the NEET MDS 2021merit list on the basis of cut off scores. The authority will release the merit list for All India Quota seats and state-wise merit list. For admission to dental colleges, the rank list will be prepared as listed below:
- All India NEET MDS rank: It includes the overall merit rank of all the candidates who appeared for NEET MDS 2021
- All India 50% Quota rank: This list shows the merit position of aspirants amongst all the candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam and are eligible for 50% AIQ seats
- All India 50% Quota Category rank: This is the merit position of candidates in the respective categories (OBC/SC/ST), as chosen by students while filling the NEET MDS application form 2021, amongst the aspirants eligible for 50% AIQ seats
- State Quota rank: State quota rank, state category rank, benefit of in-service candidates, rural posting (if applicable) and other will be determined by the designated authority of the particular state
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is conducting the counselling for admission to 50% All India Quota seats, deemed and central universities/colleges. In order to be eligible for counselling, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying NEET MDS 2021 cut off as prescribed by NBE. To participate for NEET MDS 2021 counselling, aspirants have to register themselves online by entering the required details. During the registration process, they have to fill their preferences of colleges as well as courses. On the basis of these preferences, NEET MDS rank and availability of seats, the seat allotment process will be done. Once the admission will be granted, candidates must report at the allotted college for verification of documents and completion of admission procedure.

when are the counselling dates of neet mds 2022
Here are some of the important dates for 2022 NEET MDS session-
The official notification for the exam is scheduled to be released in October 2021. Application form also between in the month of October and the last date to fill up application form is November 2021. The result is most likely to be released in the month of December.
Along with that, the aspirants need to pay application fee of Rs 3750 for general category and Rs. 2750 for SC and ST category.

As per the last year's statistics you stand a fair chances in getting clinical seats.As per the last years cutoff you can get clinical seats in second and third rounds.In last years the cutoff went about 7000-8000 in some good colleges.So yes there is a fair chance for getting a good clinical seats.
