NEET MDS Cut offNEET MDS Cut off 2018: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has revised the NEET MDS 2018 cut off marks on March 23, 2018 for admission to MDS courses available across the country. The candidates can check here revised cutoff marks and the official notice published by the authorities. The result of NEET MDS was declared on January 25, 2018. In the official NBE notice on NEET MDS 2018 cut offs, a candidate belonging to General category had to secure a minimum of 20.265th percentile which corresponds to a score of 149 out of 960 for 2018, while candidates belonging to reserved categories had to obtain a score in the 10.265th percentile, corresponding to 115 in NEET MDS 2018. Unreserved Physically Handicapped candidates had to obtain a score in the 15.265th percentile, corresponding to a cut off score of 133. The cut off mark is the lowest possible score a candidate has to secure in order to qualify NEET MDS 2018 and is given category-wise. Both NEET MDS cutoff and NEET MDS AIQ Cutoff scores are same. NEET MDS cut off 2018 is determined on the basis of many factors such as number of candidates, number of seats and difficulty level of the exam among others. These cutoff scores are also applicable for NEET MDS AIQ Cutoff 2018.

NEET MDS 2018 Revised result and cutoff notification


The authorities suggested that it might be lowered if the number of qualified candidates are three times less than the number of seats. Candidates can check below the notification published by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which implied that the cutoff will be lowered. Last year, a candidate belonging to General category had to secure a minimum of 50 percentile and 523.2461 cut off score while SC, ST and OBC candidates had to obtain a minimum of 40 percentile and 491.2402 cut off score. PWD candidates had to score atleast 45 percentile with a cut off score of 507.4365. However later, as per a notification issued by the National Board of Examinations in May 2017 with regard to NEET MDS 2017, revised qualifying percentile and cut off of NEET MDS 2017 scores were issued which were lower than the initially released percentile and NEET MDS cut off 2018. The revised qualifying percentile for NEET MDS 2017 for General Category was 42.5 while the revised cut off score was 499.2738. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates, the revised percentile was 32.50 and revised cut off score 469.0642 while for Persons with Disability (PwD), it was 37.50 and 483.7317 respectively.

Based on the qualifying criteria of NEET MDS, the exam conducting authority, NBE, will declare a merit list consisting of qualified candidate’s name and All India Ranks (AIR). Candidates who appeared for NEET MDS 2018 can check the details regarding the qualifying marks and cut off score of 2018 as well as of the previous years from this page.

As per the NEET MDS AIQ scorecard notification released on February 28, 2018, the qualifying cutoff scores of NEET MDS 2018 AIQ counselling is same as NEET MDS 2018 cutoff scores. Candidates can also refer to the previous years’ data given on this page compare it with the cut off scores of NEET MDS 2018.

Candidates must be aware of the fact that after declaring the NEET MDS cut off 2017 in January along with result, NBE revised the cut off marks in May 2017. NEET MDS 2018 is the single entrance exam in India for providing admissions to Dental PG entrance courses in Government, Private and Deemed medical universities. NEET MDS replaced the All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGDEE) from 2016 onwards.

NEET MDS Result 2018

The state quota seats and seats available in private dental colleges/universities will also be filled by utilising NEET MDS Result 2018. The respective state governments/private dental colleges/universities including the state of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will not be conducting any entrance exam at their own level.

 

NEET MDS Counselling 2018

The first round of counselling of NEET MDS 2018 was be held in online mode. NEET MDS 2018 counselling was conducted from March 17 - March 26, 2018. The total number of candidates called for counselling will be three times the seats available under each category comprising Unreserved, OBC, SC and ST.
