To become a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine, MBBS is a mandatory requirement. Through theoretical chapters, practical experience in the dissection of bodies and witnessing different forms of surgeries, candidates are given an in-depth and proper knowledge of the human body. For those who have a scientific curve of mind and those who want to serve humanity, MBBS is ideally suited. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is one of the most prestigious of all medical degrees in India.
MBBS is the abbreviation for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. It is an academic program that is part of the medical profession. The course length for MBBS is 5 and a 1⁄2 years. The semester wise pattern consisting of 9 semesters is observed by this course. For 4 and a half years, the MBBS syllabus is embodied with practical experience as well as theoretical research, followed by a 1-year mandatory internship in different medical and surgical fields. It is an undergraduate college degree course with a syllabus that covers subjects such as medicine and surgery. However, although the name implies 2 distinct degrees, it is only 1 degree. The goal of the course is to educate students on both surgical technique and medical research, which, depending on the master's course they are willing to apply, also can be divided into 2 separate study streams. The fees for MBBS vary from college to university standards and depend on the entrance exam for MBBS.

Eligibility criteria means the terms and conditions which are set by different course authorities or college authorities. For e.g. - MBBS comes under the Medical council of India and thus, its eligibility criteria are decided by MCI. These are some common eligibility criterions, but colleges can demand more eligibility criteria as well: -
Candidates must have completed at least 10+2 education levels with compulsory subjects in physics, chemistry, and biology.
The minimum score criteria may vary, but in the board examination, general applicants must have obtained at least 50 percent scores.

Admission Process means the step which should be followed by students for getting admission into a medical college: -
In India for getting admission in a medical college to MBBS course, the students must compulsorily give NEET examination.
Candidates will be required to apply for the entrance test within the specified date and time for MBBS admissions via NEET-UG. Application forms can be completed and submitted on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET-UG review entity.
The results of the NEET-UG and consequently the merit lists containing the names of all candidates in the order of merit will be published after attempting the entrance exam.
Candidates can choose to apply for the AIQ and/or State Quota after the exams, where they will be eligible to apply to medical colleges across India or in their respective choice of state.
Once confirmed, the students will be asked to lock down their choices and wait for the processes of seat allocation. Until locked, these options cannot be altered at a further level.
Once the seats are allotted to students, they must complete further formalities from college’s end.

MBBS is one of India's most reputed courses and trains an individual or student to become a doctor. It should be noted that each physician will have an MBBS degree. Question 1 - I am interested in biology as well helping people with their health, is MBBS a good course for me?
Answer – Yes, MBBS will be a good option for you. A doctor's first responsibility is to help their patients and in MBBS, the main subject to deal with is biology.
Question 2 - Does Madras medical college conduct their own entrance exams?
Answer - In 2019 a law was established in which no colleges can conduct their own entrance exams from then onwards and only one sole exam will be conducted that is NEET nationwide. All medical colleges must compulsorily accept the NEET examinations. NEET examinations are conducted by NTA every year for medical aspirants. This examination is not only considered for MBBS but for other medical courses as well such as BAMS, BHMS, BDS, etc.
Question 3 - What is the difference between MBBS and BAMS?
