FMGE Result 2017 – The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will declare the result of FMGE 2017 for the month of December tentatively in the second week of January, 2018. NBE, the exam conducting body of the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination(FMGE) holds the exam twice a year, in June and December. The exam is conducted for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) with foreign medical qualifications wishing to register themselves with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council (SMC). According to the official communication by the NBE, candidates need to score 150 out 300 marks to qualify FMGE 2017. Candidates must note that FMGE is a mandatory exam for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) without which they cannot practice in India. The FMGE 2017 result for the December session exam will be declared in online mode in the form of score cards which will comprise the candidates’ details along with the marks and the rank secured.

How to check FMGE Result 2017
To check the result of FMGE 2017 December session exam, candidates need to click on the link given below*.
Candidates will need to click on the link and type in their application number and password they received during the submission of their application form.
Candidates will be redirected to their FMGE 2017 result after providing the required details.
Candidates are advised to download and take a printout of the copy of their FMGE Result 2017.

Important note- NBE will release the pass certificates for successful candidates of the FMGE December 2017 session separately.
FMGE 2017 December session exam will be held tentatively in the third week of December, 2017. The exam will be conducted in an online mode and the question booklet will include 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided in two part papers - morning and afternoon session - taken in a single day. The candidates must note that there is no negative marking but the weightage of MCQs may vary. The question booklet pattern will be based on the MBBS programme curriculum. There is no restriction on the number of attempts the candidates can avail for the FMGE exam but they can give the test only once in each testing window.
FMGE was made mandatory in the year 2002 for all FMGs who are Indian nationals or OCIs. However, students holding undergraduate or post graduate medical degrees from Australia/Canada/New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America do not need to give the FMGE exam as they can register themselves directly with the MCI or any SMC.
