BAMS is commonly abbreviated as a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). It is an unsegregated degree in the medical field. BHMS is commonly abbreviated as a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). This course covers medical knowledge of various aspects of Homeopathic education. After successful completion of the BHMS course, aspirants can successfully practice as a doctor in Homeopathic.
BAMS vs BHMS - Brief about the course
BAMS is an Ayurvedic traditional healing art in India. Knowledge about 'Ashtanga Ayurveda' along with scientific advances in modern medicine along with extensive practical training will be taught during the course. Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is the authority competent for granting admission to Ayurveda education to undergraduates. In order to practice Ayurvedic medicine in India, BHMS is the first door.
In BHMS, the candidate gains knowledge of Homeopathy medicine and surgery. A student is awarded a degree and is renowned as Homeopathic Doctor, after the successful completion of a BHMS degree. BAMS vs BHMS - Course duration
BAMS is an undergraduate level program that focuses on Ayurvedic education in India. BAMS course is for five and a half years duration. After completion of the BAMS degree, the student will be awarded the title ‘Ayurvedacharya’. The theory portion of the BAMS course is carried out in four and a half years. However, it is necessary for aspirants to complete a year rotatory internship for practical training for successful completion of the BAMS degree.
BHMS is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on Homeopathic education in India. BHMS is of five and a half years which also includes one year of internship.
BAMS vs BHMS - Admission process
In order to get admission into these Ayurvedic or Homeopathic courses in India, students have to qualify Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology by scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General whereas it is 40% in the case of reserved category.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single entrance test conducted for granting admission to 52,720 AYUSH and other undergraduate medical seats offered by 914 AYUSH, and various other colleges in India. Authority will conduct NEET 2023 in offline mode. As it is known that admission to any undergraduate AYUSH course is only granted on the basis of NEET.
The things that make a difference in the admission process of BAMS and BHMS is counselling. The counselling for both the courses, the BAMS, BHMS will be totally different from each other. Aspirants have to separately register for this course within the due date. You need to first be clear in your mind which exam you want to give. You can't prepare for two exams simultaneously. If you want to give NEET, start your preparation by making your fundamentals and base strong to get good score in the exam. Practice mock test and previous year question papers to analyse your preparation. If you are interested in CET, then continue preparing for the exam.

According to recent NMC guidelines, if you fail a subject like Anatomy four times during your MBBS, your admission could be cancelled, meaning you can no longer continue with your current MBBS program. However, you do still have the option to retake the NEET exam and gain admission into a medical college again if you are determined to pursue MBBS.
The NMC has set a limit on the number of attempts allowed for the first year MBBS exams, typically restricting students to four attempts. Once you reach this limit, your admission may be cancelled.
If you decide to retake NEET, begin studying immediately, focusing on a comprehensive review of the syllabus, particularly the anatomy section.

The thing is that, NEET or JEE is ultimately your choice. You should go for the options you find intriguing or interesting as a career path and where does your skill, aptitude and interest lie. And if you want a career path in medical field but not doctor you can always explore Biotechnology, Medical administration, Medical Writing and Journalism, Research or Teaching.

First, take a deep breath and think what you really want to pursue in future. If you don't want to pursue MBBS, then there's no point of attempting NEET.
Attempting any Entrance exam gives you an opportunity to start your Career in that particular field. Hence, if you go for JEE or even NEET, you'll have to put in effort and then will have to do Engineering.
Being average in Mathematics is not something to worry about, just practice more and you'll become a pro in it. First, decide which Career option you want to go for, then attempt any of these Entrance Exams.
NEET and JEE are equally tough from different perspectives. Hence, attempting any of these will require consistency, hard work and practice. So be sure before attempting them.
