The NEET qualification marks 2026 will be released by the NTA after declaring the result. If we follow the previous year's trends, the Medical aspirants must score over 600 marks in NEET for MBBS in a government college in 2026. The NEET 2026 cutoff marks for government colleges determines the eligibility for admission to government medical colleges. Candidates should know the NEET exam qualification marks of government colleges for better references.
A score of 400 is considered strong for candidates in the SC/ST category, above average for OBC candidates and not competitive for General category applicants in NEET. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks to qualify for NEET. The NTA will release the NEET UG 2026 cutoff scores once the exam is concluded. In the meantime, candidates can look at the previous year's NEET-qualified marks below.
NEET 2025 qualifying marks for general category: Aspirants belonging to the unreserved category are required to score 50th percentile and 686-144 scores.
NEET qualified marks 2025 for the general PwD category: Students of this category need to secure the 45th percentile and 143-127 scores to qualify for NEET UG.
NEET qualifying marks 2025 OBC/SC/ST: Aspirants who belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes need to obtain the 40th percentile and 143-113 scores.
NEET qualifying marks 2025 for OBC, SC and ST PwD- NEET cutoff for OBC, SC and ST PwD is 40th. On the other hand, NEET 2025 qualifying marks for these categories are 126-113.
