    Educational qualifications

    • Candidates must have passed class 12 under the 10+2 system of education or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.

    Nursing Diploma

    • Candidates should hold a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.

    Registration requirements

    • Candidates must be registered as a nurse, RN (Registered Nurse), and RM (Registered Midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

    Additional Requirements for Male Nurses

    Besides being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, male candidates should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing. Instead of training in Midwifery, male candidates should have undergone training in any one of the following subjects for six months:

    • Ophthalmic Nursing

    • Leprosy Nursing

    • TB Nursing

    • Psychiatric Nursing

    • Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing

    • Community Health Nursing

    For Foreign Candidates

Admission is granted based on marks obtained by foreign candidates in the qualifying examination. Such candidates need not fill out an online registration form.

    For Overseas Citizens of India

    The eligibility criteria for OCI candidates are the same as the eligibility criteria mentioned above for the Indian candidates; however, such candidates are not required to obtain NOC. OCI candidates have to upload the scanned copy of the OCI card within the stipulated dates.

    Biology carries the highest weightage in BSc Nursing entrance exams, followed by Physics, Chemistry, and English. Focus on Human Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, and Cell Biology.
