    NRI MBBS seats: Eligibility criteria

    The eligibility criteria for NRI MBBS admissions in India are listed in the NEET eligibility criteria and must be met to secure a seat under the NRI quota.     Educational qualifications:

    • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects.

    • Candidates must have secured at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology combined.

    • Candidates who have completed their schooling outside India must obtain an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to prove that their educational qualifications are equivalent to the Indian 10+2 system.

    NEET qualification:

    • Candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

    • Candidates must score at least the minimum NEET cutoff qualifying percentile to be eligible for admission.

    Age qualifications:

    • The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the year of admission.

    • There is no maximum age limit for NRI candidates.
