Eligibility criteria for NEET admission through NRI quota

To be eligible for NEET admissions, under the NRI quota, candidates need to fulfil certain NEET eligibility criteria 2024. These eligibility criteria are as follows -

• The candidate should have qualified for the NEET UG exam.

• The student should hold a valid passport.

• The minimum and maximum age limit of an NRI candidate must be 17 and 25 years, respectively.

• The candidate should have completed the 10 + 2 standard or its equivalent from a foreign country in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English.

• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 10 + 2 standard or its equivalent.

• The NRI candidates should possess a certificate from the concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of their residence in support of their claim as an NRI candidate.

The NRI quota in NEET is generally 15% of the total seats in the government and private medical colleges of India. There are five Indian states which offer seats under the NEET NRI quota for NEET in both government and private medical colleges in India.
