The NRI quota in NEET is a reservation for non-resident Indian students who wish to study medicine in India. It provides an opportunity for Indian-origin students residing abroad to secure admission to medical colleges without having to compete with the general pool of candidates. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the single largest highly competitive medical entrance examination conducted in India. It is the gateway for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS) in government or private medical colleges across the country.
The main purpose of the NRI quota for NEET is to encourage Indian students settled abroad to return to the country for higher education and contribute to the healthcare system. Any candidate who is of Indian origin and is studying abroad or has settled in a foreign country is categorised as an NRI candidate. Also, individuals who are born in a foreign country with parents of Indian origin are categorised as NRI.
To be eligible for NEET admissions, under the NRI quota, candidates need to fulfil certain NEET eligibility criteria 2025. These eligibility criteria are as follows -
The candidate should have qualified for the NEET UG exam.
The student should hold a valid passport.
The minimum and maximum age limit of an NRI candidate must be 17 and 25 years, respectively.
The candidate should have completed the 10 + 2 standard or its equivalent from a foreign country in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English.
The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 10 + 2 standard or its equivalent.
The NRI candidates should possess a certificate from the concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of their residence in support of their claim as an NRI candidate.

The NRI quota in NEET is generally 15% of the total seats in the government and private medical colleges of India. There are five Indian states which offer seats under the NEET NRI quota for NEET in both government and private medical colleges in India. All Deemed medical colleges and universities have a 15% NRI quota for NEET.
The first and foremost step for admission through the NRI quota in NEET is to qualify for the NEET exam. Once the NEET result 2025 is declared, a merit list of qualified candidates is published by the authority. Based on the NRI quota NEET cut off, the students have to go through the counselling rounds and secure their fee. The admission process for the NRI quota usually involves the submission of necessary documents, including proof of NRI status, passport copy, visa copy, and educational certificates.
It is important to note that the NRI quota is a separate category, and only a limited number of seats are available under this category. However, admission to medical courses under the NRI quota in NEET is easier due to low competition. The number of seats can vary depending on the college and the state. According to the NEET UG NRI quota fee structure, the fee for NRI seats is higher than the regular seats, as these candidates do not avail of any subsidies provided by the government.

Securing a government medical college seat through NEET needs an eligiblity and as per the eligibility if you are a student of final year BSc is eligible to participate in NEET counselling process and admission.
So if you fail in final year BSc exams it doesn't matter and if you secure a seat in a medical college you can take the admission without any problem.the only problem is the certificates you need to present at the time of document verification.if you fail to provide your documents your seat may get cancelled.
You need to collect your all documents from the college if they coperate you can get certificate easily but if not request them. If you are taking admission on the basis of 12th marks then it may create problem in future so try to get certificate from college.

The Madhya Pradesh Medhavi Chhatra Yojana (also known as the Medhavi Yojana) provides scholarships to meritorious students based on their performance in the 12th board examinations.the percentage should be more than 75 percent for mp board students and for CBSE and icse it is 85 percent.
You can apply for scholarship and If you come into the meritorious students then the amount is even more than 25000.
If you belong to any school then they will collect your bank information So all in all you do not have to do anything, all the work is to be done by the school. You just enjoy.

Other than NEET some state colleges use their own entrance exam like MHT CET, CUET, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, KCET, KEAM, and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for pharmacy.

If your daughter is currently studying in a CBSE affiliated school in Qatar and has been living abroad for the past few years, she will likely qualify for an NRI seat when applying for NEET, as she meets the criteria of being an Indian citizen residing abroad and completing her 10th and 12th education from a foreign country.
NRI students can apply NEET UG under NRI category. Your daughter will be applying for seats under AIQ quota i.e 15% seats only .some states dont give reservation to NRI like Karnataka but some states like gujarat has NRI reservation.while considering colleges check specific eligibility criteria of the medical colleges you are applying to, as there may be minor variations in their NRI admission policies.
