Careers360 Congratulations on your NEET 2025 results! How are your feelings about this achievement?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: Thank you so much. I am very excited about my NEET 2025 result.
Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. Where did you complete your schooling and what about your family?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: We live in Faridabad. I did my schooling in Delhi from Indraprastha School. My father is retired from NHPC and mother is a house wife. I have a younger brother who is studying in class 11.
Careers360: What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: I was interested in it from the beginning, from class 7 itself. My interest in Biology started growing up and that’s when I decided to become a doctor.
Careers360: Is this your first attempt? When did you start your preparations for the NEET exam?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: Yes, this is my first attempt. I started my NEET preparations from class 11.
Careers360: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you think is better, coaching or self-study?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: I did my NEET coaching from Allen Institute, Delhi. I used to attend coaching classes daily. Apart from the coaching classes I used to devote maximum 6 hours daily to my self study. According to me, NEET coaching and self study both are important.
Careers360: Which subject is your weakest, and which is your strongest?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: No, I did not have any specific subject which was weak or strong. All of them took almost equal time. Although my favourite was Chemistry.
Careers360: How was the NEET UG preparation different from the early days to just a month before the exam?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: There was not much difference. It was the same as it was in the beginning. I had just extended it a little bit because NEET was approaching.
Careers360: What was your exam day strategy? What was the roughest and the easiest section, according to you?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: I attended the NEET question paper the same way I used to give NEET mock tests. First I did Biology followed by Chemistry and Physics. I thought the Zoology part was the easiest and the initial questions of Physics were tough.
Careers360: Which college is your dream college for studying medicine? What is your aspiration in the field of medicine, and which specialisation would you be interested in?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: AIIMS Delhi is my dream college. Specialization I will decide further, have not decided yet.
Careers360: To whom do you attribute your successful NEET topper journey?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: I would like to thank my parents and faculties for guiding us very well.
Careers360: What would you suggest to future NEET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc?
Mrinal Kishore Jha: All I want to say is be consistent in studies. Apart from lectures, practice is also very important.

Yes , the NEST exam is generally considered tougher than NEET as it requires more focus towards conceptual understanding and thinking , while NEET generally tests NCERT based knowledge where as in NEST it requires you to have deeper clarity in Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematics.
