IGNOU Post Basic BSc nursing exam 2025 is conducted in offline mode at Regional Centres. Candidates have to select the Program Study Centre while filling the application form of IGNOU BSc nursing Post Basic. Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) who have completed 10+2 along with a three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) can apply, provided they have at least two years of professional experience after obtaining their RNRM registration.
Male nurses who did not undergo midwifery training as part of their GNM program must possess a certificate in a Nursing course of 6 to 9 months duration, as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council, in place of midwifery.
In-service Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) who have completed class 10 or an equivalent qualification, along with a three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery are eligible, provided they have a minimum of five years of professional experience after obtaining their RNRM registration.
Male nurses who did not receive midwifery training during their GNM program must hold a certificate in a Nursing course of 6 to 9 months duration, as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council, in place of midwifery.
Candidates with class 12 and GNM are not eligible if their experience after RNRM is less than two years.
Candidates with class 10 and GNM are not eligible if their experience after RNRM is less than five years.

Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.
Enter user name, applicant’s name, password, email address and mobile address and then enter the Captcha code.
Then click on ‘Register’.
Username is sent to the registered mobile number and email address.

Username must be in between 8 to 16 characters.
Password must be alphanumeric and 8 to 16 characters long.
Step 1: Logging in to the account
Once registration is complete, candidates are required to login to their accounts using the username and password as set during registration. After logging in, candidates are redirected to the instructions page. Candidates must read the important instructions carefully and click on ‘I have the important information’ and then click on ‘Submit’.

Step 3: Filling program details and exam centre
