NEET 2023 Topper Interview: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2023 result on June 13, 2023. The NTA has also released the NEET 2023 topper list along with the results. Shashank Kumar, a resident of Bihar, is one of the NEET 2023 toppers. Kumar has obtained AIR 14 with a score 715 marks out of 720.
In conversation with Careers360, Shashank Kumar, NEET topper 2023, talked about his preparation strategy and his desire to become a doctor and serve the country in the health sector. Shashank Kumar: I am feeling at the top right now. My years of hard work have paid off.
Shashank Kumar: I’m from Bihar. I did my schooling here. My father works at a pharmaceutical company, and my mother is a lecturer.
Shashank Kumar: A doctor is a noble and respectable profession. In class 5 or 6, I decided to pursue medicine. I want to contribute better in the health sector, as our country needs better doctors and surgeons.
Shashank Kumar: Yes, this was my first attempt. I started my NEET preparations in Class 11th. I took offline coaching classes from Allen in 12th.
Shashank Kumar: I used to study for six hours daily to revise and clear doubts after attending coaching classes. I think that was sufficient to prepare for the NEET UG exam.

Shashank Kumar: I made some short-term targets to prepare for NEET exam. In every mock test, I used to treat it as a real NEET exam by giving my best.
Shashank Kumar: On exam day, I revised only the shortlisted topics that I had noted in my diary. I thought chemistry was a bit challenging, with some doubtful questions.
Shashank Kumar: My dream college is AIIMS, New Delhi. I want to become a surgeon. I'm interested in cardio and neuro.
Shashank Kumar: From the Bhagavad Gita to my parents, I want to attribute this success to my teachers, both at coaching centers and schools, who helped me to excel in this exam with flying colours.
Shashank Kumar: Self confidence is the most important aspect of any competitive exam. Make efforts as per your expectations.
