The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released NEET MDS scorecard 2024 on April 19. Candidates can download the NBEMS NEET MDS 2024 scorecard online at nbe.edu.in. Individual scorecard for NEET MDS 2024 for all India 50% quota seats will be available for download on April 29, 2024. Copy of NEET MDS scorecard will not to be sent to individual candidates. The NBE announced the NEET MDS result 2024 on April 3. Along with the result, the NBE also released the cutoff for NEET MDS 2024. NEET MDS 2024 exam was conducted on March 18. NEET MDS result 2024 mentions the roll number, marks scored out of 960, and the NEET MDS rank of the candidate. Based on the result of NEET MDS 2024, shortlisted candidates will be granted admission to 50% All India Quota seats, 50% state quota seats, deemed/central universities, ESIC and private universities. Candidates who will qualify NEET MDS exam will be called for the counselling process.

What is NEET MDS 2024 cutoff?

NBE has released the cutoff of NEET MDS 2024 percentile for each category. NEET MDS cutoff 2024 is the minimum qualifying percentile which must be secured to pass the entrance exam. National Board of Examinations or NBE has released the individual scorecards for NEET MDS 2024, 50% AIQ seats. Candidates can check the steps to download the NEET MDS scorecard below.

• Enter your login credentials - ID and password.

How to calculate NEET MDS 2024 result?

In the NEET MDS 2024 exam, candidates will be required to attempt 240 objective questions. The maximum marks as mentioned in the NEET MDS result are 960 marks. As per the exam pattern of NEET MDS, there will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. The marking scheme used for NEET MDS result is as follows.

Based on the above marking scheme the total score of candidates is calculated and will be mentioned in the NEET MDS 2024 result. The formula for calculating NEET MDS score is:

Based on the marks scored by the candidates in NEET MDS result 2024, the percentile for each candidate is calculated. The NEET MDS 2024 result will include the percentile score of each candidate. Only those who will score equal to and above the minimum NEET MDS cutoff percentile will qualify for the entrance test. It must be noted that the percentage and percentile of NEET MDS 2024 are completely different.

• The percentile of the candidate will be used for calculating the merit position of the candidate.

• The NEET MDS 2024 percentile score of a candidate will indicate the relative position of the candidate with respect to the other participants appearing for the test.

• A candidate with 100 percentile in NEET MDS result will indicate that the candidate has scored the highest marks in the examination, not full (960) marks.

Types of NEET MDS 2024 result

Based on the NEET MDS result 2024, NBE will allot different ranks to the shortlisted candidates. NEET MDS merit list 2024 will mention the ranks of candidates qualifying for the entrance exam. These ranks are the merit position secured by each candidate regarding the other candidates who appeared and qualified for the NEET MDS 2024 exam. The types of NEET MDS result 2024 are:

NEET MDS rank 2024: The NEET MDS rank is the rank secured by the candidate amongst all the candidates who appeared for the NEET MDS exam 2024. The rank is allotted on the basis of scores mentioned in the NEET MDS 2024 result.

All India 50% Quota rank 2024: Candidates who will qualify NEET MDS 2024 exam by scoring marks equal to or above the cut off become eligible for admission. Such candidates will be allotted an All India 50% Quota rank in the result of NEET MDS 2024. The merit rank is decided on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the exam.

All India 50% Quota category rank: The All India 50% Quota category rank is allotted against the category opted by the candidate while filling the NEET MDS 2024 application form. The competition in this rank is only among candidates belonging to the same category. The basis of AIQ category rank allotment is also the marks scored in the NEET MDS 2024 test.

In the case of two candidates having the same NEET MDS score, the rank or merit position is decided based on the below discussed four criteria.

1. Incorrect responses: Candidates with less number of questions answered wrong will be placed higher in the NEET MDS 2024 merit list.

2. Higher score: A candidate who scores better marks in part B of the exam will be awarded a higher rank in NEET MDS result 2024.

3. Wrong answers in part B: Candidate who manages to get less wrong answers in part B of the NEET MDS question paper will get a higher rank.

4. Age: Candidates older in age will be placed higher in the NEET MDS 2024 rank list.

What after NEET MDS 2024 result?

After declaring the NEET MDS 2024 result and scorecard, the role of NBE in the process ends. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the MCC will conduct the NEET MDS 2024 counselling. NEET MDS-qualified candidates will be required to register themselves on MCC's official website to participate in the counselling process. Candidates will have to fill in their preference of colleges and courses. Seats will be allotted on the basis of NEET MDS 2024 result, merit position, reservation and other criteria.
