The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET UG 2024 on May 5 in online mode. The revised NEET UG 2024 result along with the scorecard was released on July 26. Based on the NEET 2024 result, the MCC counselling started from August 14 for the 15% AIQ seats in government colleges. State NEET UG counselling was conducted by the respective state authorities for the rest 85% state quota seats.

NEET 2024 was conducted in the offline mode which is pen and paper-based by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET counselling based on NEET 2024 scores for 15% of all AIQ seats in government colleges and 100% for deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, and JIPMER. The state counselling authorities conduct counselling for the remaining 85% of state quota seats.
