To complete the Basic Registration through PAAR, candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned steps. 

Step 1: Filling the basic details

Candidates who have not done Basic Registration are required to select ‘New Basic Registration’ to complete the basic registration. Candidates are required to fill in their details such as: 

• Personal details: Candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, address, date of birth, category

• Correspondence address 

After submitting the basic details, the registration ID and password are sent to the email address and mobile number provided by the candidates. Candidates are required to use these details to complete step 2 of the Basic Registration process.

Step 2: Uploading of images

In the case of candidates scoring equal marks, the inter se merit will be determined as follows: 

• Priority will be given to the candidates with fewer negative marks in entrance examination 

• Preference will be given to the older candidate over the younger one

• Candidates have the flexibility to modify their choice of institutions and subjects in all rounds. However, during the final open round, any changes, including those within the same institution, can only be made after submitting a penalty amount in the form of a Demand Draft. 

• Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination and if found medically fit will join the course after depositing the requisite fee. 

Note: Candidates who are currently enrolled in an MSc program in any subject (provided they have not yet completed it) will be considered for admission. However, such candidates are required to report to the respective institute and submit either their original documents or a Demand Draft of Rs 1,00,000 and a security deposit. The security deposit will be refunded upon submission of original documents within a 5-day period. 

If there are vacant seats after the final open round, these seats will be filled through a spot seat allotment round at the respective AIIMS individually.
