Careers360 Congratulations on your NEET 2024 results! How are your feelings about this achievement?

Hritik Raj: Thank you so much! I am feeling overwhelmed. It can’t be expressed in words.

Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. Where did you complete your schooling and what about your family?

Hritik Raj: I hailed from Bihar. My father is a retired army officer and my mother works as a teacher. I did my schooling from CBSE board in Bihar. My parents inspired me a lot through their hard work and dedication towards their respective fields which somehow insisted me to do best in the exam.

Careers360: What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?

Hritik Raj: It was basically my father’s dream to choose medicine and become a doctor. In 10th class, I decided to put in more effort and started taking coaching classes to fulfil my father’s dream.

Careers360: Is this your first attempt? When did you start your preparations for the NEET exam?

Hritik Raj: Yes, this was my first attempt for NEET 2024. I started my NEET preparations from Class 10th end. I took coaching from Allen Kota.

Careers360: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you think is better, coaching or self-study?

Hritik Raj: I studied for 6 hours daily to cover NEET syllabus. Along with coaching, self study is important to keep all important topics and practice the same. During the preparation days, I tried my best to study properly.

Careers360: Which subject is your weakest, and which is your strongest?

Hritik Raj: Biology was my weakest subject as compared to Physics and Chemistry. For me, Physics was my strongest subject. Meanwhile, I studied all the subjects properly and tried my best to overcome fear and distractions during the preparation.

Careers360: How was the NEET UG preparation different from the early days to just a month before the exam?

Hritik Raj: So in just one month before the NEET exam, I devoted 10 to 12 hours daily to prepare for NEET 2024. I used to take one NEET mock test daily which helped me feel better on the exam day.

Careers360: What was your exam day strategy? What was the roughest and the easiest section, according to you?

Hritik Raj: My exam strategy was pretty simple. I took the Biology section first and solved it. Then, I completed Chemistry and at last I solved the Physics paper before the conclusion of the exam. Biology was the toughest one so I devoted more time to it.

Careers360: Which college is your dream college for studying medicine? What is your aspiration in the field of medicine, and which specialization would you be interested in?

Hritik Raj: My dream college is AIIMS New Delhi. I have not decided any specialization as of now. But I will choose after getting the college which I am interested in.

Careers360: To whom do you attribute your successful NEET topper journey?

Hritik Raj: I would definitely attribute this success to my mother who kept inspiring and pushing me to study hard for the exam.

Careers360: What would you suggest to future NEET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc?

Hritik Raj: I would suggest the future NEET aspirants to clear the concept and doubts before appearing for the NEET exam. Regular practice of questions is quite necessary as the NEET cutoff is increasing rapidly. Self confidence is must because it defends whether one is prepared enough to qualify NEET.

Hello Yashpal

Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.

Hope it helps you, and if you face any other query, you can raise your question directly. We are here to assist you with the best.

Hello,

To secure a NEET All India Rank (AIR) under 19,000, you generally need to score around 540-560 marks in NEET. In AIATS (Aakash All India Test Series), this usually corresponds to being consistently in the top 2,000-2,500 ranks nationally.

Hello,

To get into a Delhi government medical college via NEET UG, a general candidate and an EWS candidate need higher scores (often 650-700+), while OBC/SC/ST scores are lower but still competitive, with specific marks varying by college and quota (State/AIQ).

I hope it will clear your query!!
