The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), nursing programmes includes BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post Basic). The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) Nursing programme last for four years whereas the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) Nursing degree lasts two years.

Eligibility for BSc (Hons) :

  • Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
  • Candidates of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55% in aggregate in class 12, and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50% in aggregate.

Eligibility for BSc (Post-Basic) :

  • Candidates should have passed the class or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, English and biology or Math subjects.
  • Candidates from the General/EWS/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate in class 12, and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 45% in aggregate.

Hello,

All India Institute of medical sciences or AIIMS Delhi conducts the AIIMS Nursing Examination.

The test is conducted online and is computer based. The question paper pattern is MCQs type. The duration of test is 2 hours nd maximum marks for the test is 100.

Negative marking is also there in the test. For every negative answer -1/3 marks will be deducted.

The paper is conducted in English language only. So you can't attempt it in Hindi.

The course is designed in such a way to deal with taking care of patients. Also, you can further apply for various job roles in hospitals. Major recruiters are Fortis, Aiims etc.

Average salary lies in the range of 15.5k to 28k per month.

Yes you need a minimum of 1 year experience after completing Bachelor of science in nursing to further study Master of science in Nursing.

Dear Aspirant,

For admission to B.Sc nursing course , you can apply for NEET exam after finishing 12th Std.

To give you an insight of the course,

B.Sc Nursing is a 4 year undergraduate course. It provides an opportunity for you to work in health care. The subjects required are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. As you have mentioned that you have taken Bio Science group, you are good to go.

The other eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The minimum age is 17 i.e, the aspirants should be 17 years as of December 31st of the year of admission.
  • The candidate should have passed 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with an aggregate of 45% for General category and 40 % for SC/ST/OBC category.

The exam pattern is as follows:

  • There will be a total of 200 questions from which you will have to answer 180.
  • The total marks are 720 for 180 questions
  • 4 marks for each right answer
  • One mark will be deducted for ach wrong answer.
  • There are 4 parts: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each part has 2 sections.
  • Section A has 35 mandatory questions. Section B has 15 questions out of which you have to answer any 10.
  • The mode of the exam is offline.

Apart from NEET, there are some institutes that have separate exams for admission to BSc nursing. Some other entrance exams include:

Hello.

AIIMS conducts a separate entrance exam for candidates to apply for BSc Nursing program. The exam for the year 2021 was held on 28 December 2021 and the results are expected to be out soon.

The basic criteria is that the candidate should have physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects with 55% aggregate for general category and 50% for other categories and only females can apply.

The application fee is Rs. 1500 for general and OBC candidates, Rs. 1200 for SC/ST candidates and no fee is charged from PWD candidates.

Previous year cut off percentage for sc category is 76.2059206 , so you have chances to get seat in 2021 as per percentile provided by you.

Usually colleges allow a branch change opportunity based on CG for First Semester, however, you need to confirm it from the college authorities regarding the details. Such information and procedures vary from college to college and there is no generalised guidelines for the same.
